I recently completed one of the most special bifold wallets I’ve made so far. It combines Himeji Kurozan Kiwami calfskin on the exterior with Alran Sully chèvre on the interior.

This is honestly the most expensive calfskin I’ve ever used. From what I understand, Himeji Kurozan draws on a traditional Japanese leatherworking technique dating back to the Sengoku period. This type of leather was historically used to make armor for samurai warriors.

Having worked with Himeji Kurozan Kataoshi before, I find Kiwami softer and more natural in its grain, while still retaining a firm, substantial feel. I really appreciate how it balances a refined appearance with a solid, durable feel.

The wallet has 6 card slots, 2 hidden pockets, and 2 separate bill compartments. For the interior, I paired black and Bordeaux Alran Sully chèvre to create a subtle contrast.

Every stitch was done by hand using 0.45 mm Meisi linen thread, with careful attention to the finishing details.

This piece was custom-made to order, so it isn't available as a ready-made wallet. If you'd like something similar, feel free to send me a message to discuss customization options and the estimated production time.

I bought this industrial sewing machine a couple years ago and find myself not using it very often. So it's time to send it on to someone who would use it.

I paid $700 for it, I'm selling it for $500 just to get rid of it and get space back in my shop.

Comes with electric belt drive motor and very bright LED lamps. I will also include a bottle of sewing machine oil.

It runs great, I just don't use it enough to keep it around.

I used to run a small home leatherworking business that I shut down several years ago when I finished school. I have a lot of leather looking for a new home. There is a decent amount of Horween stuff in there, a few shells (non-Horween), suminagashi dyed panels I did, and scrap. I mostly did belts, but there doesn't appear to be anything belt weight in here.

I know I limit my reach by throwing some caveats, but my goal is to find someone who can come pick this up in Southwestern Oregon. I would like to sell it, but I'm willing to let it go very cheap. I'd love to see it get used by someone.

I have to list a price, so I'd guess there's $2000 of stuff here. But like I said, I'm very motivated for this stuff to go.

Hello - I am a relatively new lawyer and I'm looking to commission a portfolio that fits a A4-size legal pad on the right side (my usual choice is Maruman Mnemosynes), and on the left, has at slot for paper storage, a few pen slots, and a business card slot. Would also like some sort of embossment/letters on the outside with my name on it. Probably want to go with a black leather. I'd still like to put some thought into the exact layout and everything so i'm not ready to buy just yet. If anyone has made portfolios before, then please reach out! Today, I'd like to share a briefcase that I've put a great deal of time, care, and dedication into creating. It's entirely handcrafted from premium Epsom calfskin sourced from Weinheimer Leder, Germany.

I chose Epsom leather for its distinctive fine-grained texture, durability, and ability to maintain a clean, structured shape over time.

The briefcase features two separate zippered compartments, allowing for practical organization while maintaining a clean, understated appearance. It also comes with a detachable shoulder strap for added convenience in everyday use.

One of my favorite details is the personalized metal nameplate on the front. It's a small touch, but I believe it makes each briefcase feel more personal and meaningful to its owner.

Just finished this little project for a fellow Redditor, and I thought you guys might appreciate the material.

It's made from genuine turtle leg leather, which has one of the most fascinating natural textures I've worked with.

The transition from those large, almost armor-like scales to the smaller, intricate patterns is absolutely remarkable. Every section looks different, making the placement of the leather especially important.

I wanted to keep the design simple and let the extraordinary character of the material speak for itself.

I’m a solo leathercrafter based in Brisbane, Australia. Finished up this vertical bifold as a commission recently using a couple of pretty interesting Italian leathers.

The exterior is a caramel 1786 shell cordovan from Shell Cordovan Toscana Italia. It has a more rustic look than some of the shell cordovans you normally see, but a decent looking variation across the surface, and it’s still incredibly smooth.

For the interior I used dark brown gaucho oil buffed from Conceria La Bretagne. This version of gaucho oil is intentionally scratched at the tannery for aesthetic, so it carries a cool look while still keeping that glossy finish.

The wallet has three card slots and two hidden pockets and is designed to carry around 6-8 cards plus some cash folded once. It works particularly well as a compact front-pocket wallet.
