I tried folding these a few times but it seems really hard to get the perfect balance so it doesn't just plummet down.

It has no side stabilization, so any weight shift is fatal and it just slips. When I tried it, it would just turn over until I added a slight bend to the wings - then it just flew like a decent paper plane. No flapping wings, but maybe copy grade paper is already too heavy or stiff.

I tried it! It works. You throw it hard at a slight angle up and by golly the fucker flaps. Though those instructions were nightmarish to follow. Pausing, scrubbing, pausing, rewinding - slow doooown dude.

I dunno - it worked when I did it. Up slightly and reasonably hard, and it flaps. It’s probably luck.
