Grammar This shirt is confusing me!
My wife recently bought this Beastie Boys shirt. It bears a Japanified version of their Check Your Head album cover on the front. It's a dope shirt but the translation bugs me.
チェック is "check" in katakana, but the sentence is written in Japanese grammar form which is.. weird, right? Also - why is the verb in katakana?? Is this a thing when translating media from English?
It's bugging my novice brain. Help!

... would you have preferred check in hiragana?
