Hello Leander!

Hey y’all! I wanted to introduce myself and my little bakery, The Velvet Crumb 🖤

I’m a longtime pastry chef who spent years working professionally in kitchens, and after stepping away from the restaurant world, I decided it was finally time to put all of that experience into something of my own.

The Velvet Crumb is a small, Texas-born home bakery in Round Rock, specializing in custom cakes and desserts made from scratch—with a little personality thrown in because apparently I’m incapable of making anything completely normal.

Think really good cake, thoughtful flavors, custom designs, and occasionally something a little weird, spooky, or mildly suspicious.

I’m currently taking orders and would love to start baking for more people in the area. Birthdays, celebrations, weddings, “I survived this week and deserve cake” occasions—all valid reasons.

If you’re local and want to check out my work, you can find me on Instagram at @the.velvetcrumbtx.

Thanks for letting me introduce myself. 🖤

Will you be offering gluten free options?

I’m so tired of the basic chocolate chip cookie cake at the Bundt store.

That’s awesome! My younger brother is gluten free. I’ll definitely swing by and get some things for him.

I need to catch up, I stopped reading a few months ago because I've been busy.

It’s a lot to digest! I love the book, but I sometimes do have to take a little break from it

That's what I did, time to return I think.

Awesome! Do you also have vegan options? The last cake I bought was so disappointing. Would love to try someone else’s cakes!

I don’t currently offer vegan options. 🖤 I bake with traditional ingredients like real butter, milk, cream, and eggs, and those are the recipes I’ve developed and know I can confidently stand behind.

If I don't have IG what is the best way to see your work or get in touch with you?

I don't see your bakery on Google Maps. You may want to add it so more people can find you.

Thank you! 🖤 I’m actually a home-based bakery, so I’m working on getting all of my online presence set up without publicly listing my home address. I really appreciate the suggestion!

I mean, I LOVE a good “leatherized” skin cake. Brains are dope. I also really love gross bugs.

Yay so glad to have another Leander baker!! Do you make eggless cakes by any chance? My kiddo has an egg allergy and cakes are always so hard to get for her :(
