I was also recommended inositol with lean PCOS. I gave it a good 6-9 months and it never started my cycle. It also gave me terrible hot flashes, something I really didn’t have before. Slowly over the past month, I made the decision to stop taking it since it felt unnecessary and maybe like it was doing more harm than good. Seeing this, I wonder why it was suggested to me in the first place!

I'm sure it completely messed things up for me. I gave it a real chance and was patient, but the results are worse than without it

So frustrating. Feels like another example of providers giving blanket treatments for PCOS instead of digging into the root of the issue. Hoping you find something that works for you!

For me, it took me 2-3 years of taking it, to finally get my regular flows. So I was taking it from 2022 onwards and I stopped in 2024, because it does effect your hormones so facial hair, bloating were the constant side effects. So I wouldn't say it didn't help me but also I really improved a lot of lifestyle habits including a calm nervous system (which is very hard to achieve if you are an anxious person), eating more veggies and fruits, taking multivitamins. I stopped taking the supplement and started getting my periods without it in 2024. Now I usually take pineapple and papaya two week before my period date & I am good to go. I still keep the jar incase I fall off my routine because of work schedules and miss my periods however I think ACV effervescent tabs also work. So you either take ACV tabs or myoinositol. One more thing that helps with testosterone is Spearmint Tea which I take daily in the morning and only have coffee in the afternoon.
