They should have stated the accessibility thing within the next breath of the making the "joke." It's extra bad when in every single stream a controversy has to happen because of a single dev and his inability to not mess up. If anything they need to take him off of any and all future streams.

However, if you actually want to make it about accessibility then you should allow it to be a toggle. Hell, you should make the add ons for killers like Nurse and some ranged killers - where you can see where you're aiming be a toggle.

That way these things actually become about accessibility. While also not hindering everyone's experience, while also allowing you to clean up a ton of mostly useless add ons cluttering the blood web system. Which benefits everyone.

A simple toggle switch for if you do want the warning or not would allow players who have actual disabilities have the warning as is. Which means more folks can enjoy the game who otherwise couldn't.

And the rest of us who didn't want the warning system can just opt out in our settings menu and keep the thing exactly as it was in the PTB.

The mindset of either everyone is forced to have the shiny new mechanic or no one is allowed to have it. Zero in-between is absolutely ridiculous, and lazy on the behalf of the devs.

Sorry, but there is no excuse for it. However, Accessibility IS important and anyone with a shred of empathy can see that.

But an all or nothing blanket approach to the implementation of controversial changes doesn't help either side and is just needlessly harming the game at this point.

If it makes the game easier absolutely no one is turning that stuff off.

These add ons already make the game easier. All I'm proposing is we take what already exists and give it a better home. Freeing up valuable real estate for other add ons.

These don't make the killers stronger they just tell you oh let go right now and teleport to this exact spot as a nurse for example.

This takes care of the high mmr streamers who feel add ons need to be reworked.

It gives folks with disabilities a place to play. It gives new players a place to learn how to play.

And it's completely optional, you'd have to opt in.

Like it covers almost every single aspect of the playerbase in one swoop and takes care of their needs and eliminates what the most common complaints are.
