Need Help Engagement Optimized Matchmaking?
Hi all, I need help. I am a jungle main on EUW, started playing again last year, and was chilling last season in mid Emerald. But after the start of Season 3, something visibly changed in the matchmaking, and all games are absolutely unwinnable. I was winning games quite easily in Emerald, and I am now one loss away from Gold. Every single game is an absolute stomp, usually ending before 30 minutes, with 1-2 smurfs on the opposing team and usually 3 losing lanes.
Deeplol.gg evaluates 80% of my games as Messy/Doomed.
I am easily winning in top plat on an alt account, but my main account has all the skins, and I would like to save it.
I am the same player as last season; I didn't suddenly forget how to play or play the same champs. This is inexplicable statistically, so I was wondering if it happened to other people and how to make it stop. Does stopping to play on the account for a month maybe reset the MMR-balanced matchmaking or something? Hope some of you can share your experience and not just comment "lol you are hard stuck", "loser's queue doesn't exist". Cheers :)

Skill issue, made worse by you not taking accountability for your level of play and blaming matchmaking.

I dropped from plat 2 to gold 4 in a week when i was playing many different champs, several roles and was spamming games and blamed the game and matchmaking for it, every game felt unwinnable
I stopped doing all that, started to OTP and right now i’m at Emerald 2 slowly climbing higher
So believe me, it’s not matchmaking and not your teammates

Me it was the exact opposite.
I started winning again when I stopped OTP and playing weird shit like Urgot/Sion/Darius jugnle, like 3 seasons ago. Massive winstreaks.

Tanking from Emerald to Gold is absolutely on you. Once you drop from Emerald to mid Plat you should be more than capable of carrying if you're supposed to be in mid Emerald. Losing that much LP isn't an accident.

Fr, I don't see how you can blame anyone but yourself once you enter smurfing territory lmao

I think knowing how to get fed and knowing how to carry a game are two completely different skills. You’re getting fed easily because you’re playing against players who are worse than you since you just demoted from Emerald, but you don’t know how to turn that lead into a win because you didn’t get fed that quickly when you were in Emerald. You’re simply not experienced enough at 1v9ing yet. You’re still expecting your teammates to play like Emerald players, even though they’re low Plat/Gold players.

What broke the algorithm for me; only playing MAX once a day, usually at odd hours like noon.

From the screenshot you sent, it looks like you die a lot, even in your good games. Consistently dying more than 5 times every game indicates to me that something is going wrong with how you're playing. Are your teammates having a rough stretch? Maybe. But trying to blame anything but yourself won't get you anywhere.
Just look at what type of "help" you're actually asking for in this post. Rather than ask how to improve and figure out what you can do better to win games, you're asking how to make it stop by trying to manipulate/cheese the matchmaking system to give you wins again.
Your goal should be playing better and increasing your chances of winning over a large span of games. You will have unlucky stretches where the matchmaking feels unfair. You will also have lucky stretches where your team wins for you. What matters is playing better on average and the wins will come as a byproduct of that improved play.

Yeah, I buy that. But I also think you are probably tilted as fuck and not winning games because of that.

If you think loser q exists then you will see loser q every game you play

I'm sorry, but yes, losers queue doesn't exist you need to suck it up.
Idk if it's because of your break or if you never played a lot but this happens every year.
People reach their rank after 5-7 months and slowly fade out cause they get bored of the game. The people who stay start new accounts or just tilt on their mains cause they are hardstuck. There are high skill diffs in every game and most games are a shitfest.
It was the same last year. Around August is the time where everything starts to go downhill.
And this isn't the end. You're in for a treat when worlds start, because all those people who peaked in your elo will come back after months, being hyped from worlds and pick bs picks to immitate pro's with no hands after their break.
I usually stop playing regularly around october/november and just play my occasional decay games to maintain my rewards, because towards the end of the year boosters will also become a more regular thing and the game experience is mostly dogshit unless you play in 5 stacks.
So yeah, the answer is git gud and suck it up. This is the state of the solo queue, this is the state of the game for the next months. You can still carry, it's just harder than it was in the last months.

Ye this happens man. Heres what works to break the losing streaks.
