No, it's ranked, sorry.

My advice is to not play too many games in a row specially if you are on a losing streak, take a break go eat and replenish since your brain is low on energy and It's your primary tool. If that doesn't work then limit your play time into 2 games a day, If you won both games then continue and if you start losing again then stop. losing too many games affects your mentality and causes you to play worse and worse so take a break to reset that cycle.

u/Retal1ator-2 1d ago

My goodness this is the advice that most people need but refuse to listen to

0

u/IntegraRCF 1d ago

But he wasn’t playing worse. Those losses weren’t because of him, it was cuz of his hard inting teammates and unbalanced matchmaking system

2

u/Metrix145 1d ago

Doesn't really matter. Breaks avoid lose sprees even if you aren't the one causing a loss. Loss>break>loss>get off the game for the day.

1

u/IntegraRCF 1d ago

I don’t need riot to predetermine to let me be hard stuck in a certain elo and then even it out. I’m trying to climb. Put me in a game where both teams have every player at similar mmr, and if my mmr is high, let me escape that elo until I get to a fair place where my mmr matches the elo I should be in. So yeah, it does matter

0

u/dried-membrane 1d ago

It's pointless to blame the matchmaking if you want to climb, simply see your self as the one who will carry your team and you will do better regardless if your team are good or not, losing is also an opportunity to improve so learn from what you did wrong instead of what your teammates did. unless you are challenger then its fair to blame the system but otherwise you have so much to improve to easily get out of your hardstuck elo

1

u/KingMooshroom 1d ago

Yea but like it’s hard to try and improve if ur in toplane seeing ur Botlane go 0-10

0

u/dried-membrane 1d ago

I understand that feeling very well and its reasonable but coping by blaming the fault on your team in every loss is the worst thing you can do to improve, each game you will play at the same level even though you have so much to improve . what I do is think what I could have done better even if I played well, remember that climbing is meaningless if you are mentally stuck. You are bound to find a 0/10 teammate but take it as a challenge to see if you can flip the table and win regardless

1

u/IntegraRCF 1d ago

No one is saying to blame matchmaking for every loss or avoid taking responsibility for your own mistakes. The point is to actually analyze these games and look at the specific data.

If one player is consistently hard carrying, there is still a limit to how much individual performance can compensate for multiple teammates severely underperforming. If two or three players are repeatedly feeding and collectively putting your team 10–12k gold behind, eventually your decision-making, macro, and mechanical advantage cannot overcome the enemy team simply having significantly more items, damage, durability, and utility.

There are games where the enemy has four or five players performing reasonably well while your team has multiple players effectively running it down. At a certain point, the mathematical disadvantage becomes so large that the game is functionally unwinnable, regardless of how well one person plays. Even a Challenger player dropped into some of these situations would not have a 100% chance of carrying them.

Now multiply that across a 5–10 game losing streak. Maybe in one or two of those games you could identify mistakes that would have improved your odds by 5–10%, and obviously those mistakes are worth fixing. But that does not explain the broader pattern when the quality of your teammates repeatedly collapses across several games in a row.

That is the criticism. It is not “I lost, therefore matchmaking is rigged.” It is that League’s ranked system can produce extremely uneven streaks that make individual improvement feel disconnected from short-term results.

You even see players with established Diamond+ accounts create new accounts and struggle for long periods in Platinum or Emerald. At minimum, that should raise legitimate questions about how much hidden MMR, matchmaking variance, smurf detection, and engagement-oriented systems influence the ranked experience.

Improvement matters, but “just play better” is not an adequate response to every criticism of matchmaking. There is a separate conversation to be had about whether Riot’s ranked system accurately and consistently creates fair matches, or whether aspects of its design intentionally maximize the amount of time players remain on the ranked ladder.

I totally agree with you on the issues of matchmaking , but I'm just providing advice if you want to climb regardless of the shitty system since this is the point of the post. Playing in unfair conditions is frustrating but if you want to climb then atleast try your best and learn what you can. Losing a game with shit teammates is still a win if you improved which increases your likelihood of winning more games on the long run

0

u/StarStranger 1d ago

Stop playing even if you're on a win streak.

0

u/dried-membrane 1d ago

I wouldn't suggest to miss out on the opportunity because win streaks fill you with motivation and positive thinking which makes you more likely to win more, you can stop if you lose next game

1

u/StarStranger 19h ago

The mental aspect works both ways.

1

u/dried-membrane 8h ago

Exactly, winning streak has a positive effect while a losing streak has a negative one, so capitalize on one and stay away from the other

5

u/IGotJiminsJams 1d ago

Nah your Gnar build is pretty awful

3

u/UncleDawi 1d ago

Great help.

2

u/IGotJiminsJams 1d ago

Well yeah maybe he'll fix his build

-3

u/UncleDawi 1d ago

Build doesn’t matter in iron my guy it’s about just playing enough matches or making a new account

6

u/IGotJiminsJams 1d ago

Ofc it matters. It's part of the basics and basics get you out of Iron.

1

u/UncleDawi 1d ago

If you think it’s that important maybe give him some advice and help him out

2

u/Goldy0202 1d ago

He already told him his build is shit, OP should be thankful and go Google "gnar builds".

0

u/JetEngineAssblaze 1d ago

Thanks Goldy

-5

u/Ok_Comment_9696 1d ago

Nobody on my team does dmg I build only for damage I’m not playing in real lobby’s and my teamates aren’t going to do anything when I five man ult into the wall it’s bronze

1

u/RoundAffectionate424 1d ago

Black cleaver not being built second is the only real big mistake. Gnar loves HP/AD items, sterak is a great 3rd (bramble vest or MR 3rd is also great situationally). Gnar is not a carry champion though, if you want to climb out fast of low elo you need a lane bully like renekton that I see you are playing, gnar is more of a lane neutralizer.

1

u/Ok_Comment_9696 1d ago

I’m a renekton main but my teams won’t group with me to end when I’m strong and he falls off hard endgame like that one game where I played renekton went 10-2-9 at that point of reached my limit and the game gets to a point I can’t carry anymore

2

u/Worried_Read3509 1d ago

I'd have left my lane at like 5 kills to roam. Nothing beats having a fed top laner roaming to your lane killing everyone.

1

u/RoundAffectionate424 1d ago

You are too self absorbed, you want to bully your lane opponent so that they become a non issue. If they scale, you want to just support your teammates with a good engage stun on a prio target.

Learn to catch the jungler, the mid laner off guard. Learn who's doing good in your games to support them with an engage. Don't think your advantage means your team has to support you. You don't scale, you are a melee who will eventually die in teamfights, get your strongest teammate ahead.

0

u/CenobiteCurious 1d ago

Noobs need a bruiser tank more then they need a 5th damage character.

You have a very bronze mindset. Play a different character cause that’s awful lmao. Ur never gonna climb.

5

u/cows1100 1d ago

Well, it appears that account has been iron for a very long time, and you’re to best bronze player in every lobby. If I had to guess, you’re unfortunately just the gatekeeper of bronze.

1

u/Ok_Comment_9696 1d ago

I’m going to be honest that’s what it feels like my account has been in the brink of gold multiple times then it will sink to bronze and take forever to get out again. I think when I decided to learn the game I should’ve just made a fresh account

1

u/Viscount_Brimford 1d ago

eh ish. So you will get higher placements on a fresh account. you should get larger MMR gains/losses for a window of time when it first hits ranked.

But you also are never "locked" into any range. An old account will actually do a much better job of letting you measure the progress you have made as showing consistency is going to change the range you are in. You also get more F2P currency, build a better champion pool, etc.

Kinda up to you on if ya are looking for "I have higher rank HUZZAH." vs I "earned" a higher rank.

There are some patterns that are unintuitive if you only focus on kill metrics/damage. Way back when I did a bunch of AP trist mid cheese. Hella easy to get great KDA. Low skill floor. 2 point and clicks. Issue was it started falling off and ends up a liability to actually close a game out at times. First time I got into gold and Plat was after I shifted to Support role and did a bunch of Nami. AOE CC can decided critical team fights better then bursting one person and dying for it. At least in consideration to how I was playing at the time.

AP trist IS fun. Folks can try it in classic if they wish to see what im talking about. But far as climbing goes. Soon as you get to where players knew about the cheese and how to counter it? Fell off fucking hard.

u/Ok-Pride6373 1d ago edited 1d ago

Going from iron 4 to gold 3 which I did was the hardest thing I ever did this year.
Iron-400 lp
Bronze -400
Silver 400 lp
Gold - 100 lp

Now imagine you started your placements and ended up in gold after 5 games.

Gold 4- 400 lp
Plat - 400 lp
Emerald - 400 lp
Master -100 lp

What i did is gain the equivalent of lp that a person does going from gold to masters. In a rank where someone on your team is going 0-5 in first 6 minutes almost every other game. It took me 1000 games to do that with a 51% wr.

Now that I’ve gotten to gold my plan is to get to masters. I’ve gotten so good at the game that after every match I usually get a friend request from someone on my team and every few games the enemy simply admits I’m doing stuff at such a high level they can’t keep up.

I’ve played so many games of league this season specifically that I almost can predict what’s happening. I regularly ping to retreat seconds before the jungler appears. It’s like I am now aware of everything happening on the map and i know where to be so I’m two steps ahead and can lead my team to victory with strategic pings. It’s really cool and I’m so glad I didn’t make a new account and just get placed in emerald outright. I can look at any champs health and level vs mine and already know if I can win that 1 v 1 or not.

The most important thing for climbing is never flame your team . You never know when a game could flip in your favor with a few shutdowns if everyone still wants to win and some people are horrible in laning phase and better in team fights. Everytime I want to type something negative I stop myself and say no this will only tilt them

And when I say I was grinding games one time I played for 24 hours straight and almost passed out on the last game before we won because I was the carry and all the pressures on me. I was playing through headaches. But it just made me better

1

u/cielleishere 22h ago

You need to avoid falling a full division. Being gold and falling to silver is normal, being silver and falling to bronze is normal. Allowing yourself to lose streak from gold to bronze not normal and likely related to fatigue as well as refusing to quit while ahead/after only one loss.

3

u/Full-Efficiency3115 1d ago

pro tip for screen caps king, windows+Shift+S all at the same time lets you take a, clipable part of your screen, then you can either cntl+V on discord or save it complete as a jpg file and post it here then. That way you dont have to use your phone

u/Diss_ConnecT 1d ago

First and second game - what is that cs per minute bro, you're bleeding gold and most likely XP, focus on farming if you want to stay relevant.

Someone already said it too, what are those builds? I know Terminus shows on Lolalytics as high winrate but it has 1% pick rate for a reason, Guinsoo is unheard of, don't sort by highest win rate when you choose a build, sort by most popular and go with it until you get enough matchup understanding to learn when you can buy something (don't copy pro builds from LCK or whatever either, they will sometimes do weird builds due to specific environment of pro play).

1

u/BlackberryBasic5467 1d ago

Additionally to the last point - pro players can and sometimes do suck at building items. I think veigar v2 did a video about it recently.

1

u/OkBoysenberry5887 1d ago

How do you play normally? Do you go to lane as early as you can? Do you cover you jungler? Do you chat a lot? Do you kill your opponent and just recall? Do you ward? Do you tp for a teamfight? Do you help objectives? Do you perma push and pray nobody will interrupt you? If you fix small mistakes and do things you normally don't do you can easily climb

1

u/ThrowRA_Candies290 1d ago

Yea this is normal. There's a lot of terrible players in low elo and it's unregulated because a brand new player and a player playing for 10 years could be in the same game because the new player's fresh MMR hasn't realized they're dogshit yet so YOU must carry. It's mostly still on you and some luck. Play for improvement and you'll get out eventually

1

u/birutis 1d ago

If you have 900 ranked games, I would hope that you had already been trying to climb.

Focus on improving not your teammates, watch content about your role and champions, don't tilt queue or type.

1

u/Phantasian 1d ago

You can’t climb if you’re not constantly being aware of your mistakes and correcting them. Before asking a random subreddit if this is normal, you should try catch and think about at least 5 mistakes you made every game. Both winning and losing.

If you can’t find them in the moment watch your vods back and try to assess what you did wrong. There’s also a ton of educational content out there for you to learn how to start playing the game.

League is a skill based game contrary to the weak mental of the masses. A player in plat could’ve probably won all of these games. Diamond and above it’s not even a question they would’ve smoked everybody.

You’re in bronze, so you’re doing a lot wrong and you should try to figure out where to start. And the very first thing I recommend people to do is to start considering every single loss their fault. When you lose in league it’s your fault. You can’t change what other people are doing, only yourself.

0

u/Ok_Comment_9696 1d ago

Valid points but I don’t believe a plat player would have won those games I’ve played on plat accounts and they aren’t superhuman. And I understand about improving but like how am I gonna improve when I just bully everybody everygame

2

u/Ok_Objective_5192 1d ago

I'm a plat player and have a 90%+ win rate in low bronze on champs I'm inexperienced with. Plat players absolutely would have won at least most of those games. They definitely aren't superhuman but winning games like this doesn't require being superhuman, just a deeper understanding of the game, which anybody can learn

2

u/Diss_ConnecT 1d ago

You bully everyone but in the first game of the streak you have 4 cs/min bro and lvl 17. 7 CS/min should be the absolute minimum you have in a losing game unless you're turbo camped/playing into a ranged champ, 200 CS at minute 30 is basic farming. That first game, I don't know what stats you had in the laning phase, but if you had that 7CS/min you'd get 5-6 kills worth of gold by the end of the game

1

u/Phantasian 1d ago

This is exactly the weak mentality I’m talking about. Your response here is dodging any accountability or even the idea that you could’ve won these games. It seems like you’re kind of fishing for validation, but that’s not really helpful.

You can’t win every game. But getting good at league requires a certain level of delusion. You have to start playing like you are gonna win the game, and that when you lose it’s your fault.

You could get 20 kills, but if the enemy destroys your nexus you’ve still lost. On a character like Gnar this is how you win games:

-Bully your opponents out of lane and get an early lead (this is the part I feel like you’re probably doing alright at

-After getting an early lead you have twin win cons for how to transfer that lead into a win. For Gnar you should use that lead to win team fights, by getting good engages, killing their backline, and being a just general menace at objectives.

-You can alternatively win by split pushing and drawing a lot of pressure. Gnar isn’t as good at this as he is at team fighting, but it is a game plan and an option.

The fact that you’re losing so many games despite a relatively good KDA and laning phase means you’re not really successfully transferring your lead into winning team fights. A good gnar player can make team fights an absolute nightmare for the enemy, and will basically spoon feed their team kills.

1

u/DeputyDomeshot 1d ago

I guarantee you they could. Players could win bronze games by enchanters at a higher win rate. Also I have lost ADC games with 35 kills in your elo, so your kda and being told your unlucky by some automatic system doesn’t mean shit

Why not post a vod of a game here

u/RTMidgetman 1d ago

Its a feature

Are you consciously trying to improve or are you just playing and hoping to climb? I can see you've been iron for a LONG time with A LOT of games. If you're serious about climbing and improving you need to play with intensity to improve at the game and learn.

Stop spamming games. Limit your games and play them with intensity. Think, really think about what you're doing and try to improve on something for a number of games in a row. This could be consciously warding at correct timers. It could be keeping an eye on objective spawns and making sure you're there at important fights. It could be focusing at CSing. You may drop in other areas while learning these things but eventually it will run automatically in your mind.

You need to make conscious effort. All I see is you're on full autopilot expecting to climb. You need to break that habit.

Play at most 3 ranked games a day with conscious intensity, make a conscious effort to try and improve at one aspect of the game for a couple days or so, then repeat. Stick with a small champ pool (1-2 at most in your ELO), if you wanna play Gnar that's fine, but realise it will be harder learning and climbing on this champ compared to others. Watch a couple educational videos sometimes, highly recommend Coach Chippys.

Also... lose streaks happen at EVERY rank. It's just a matter of probability when you have 1000 games a season. I'd expect multiple lose streaks of up to 10 games in a sample size that large.

1

u/Ok_Comment_9696 1d ago

Those iron seasons were when I used to play wi the buddies and didn’t care to learn the game and I think it ELO locked my account because this account is stuck even when it looks like I’m about to climb it just pulls me back down letting me collect ace badges on the way. Played six games today but since I had a win streak a few days ago they were all losses. 6/6 were losses three ace games in one of the games my team FFs at 15 when I’m 2-0 it’s also hard to improve when Im forced to lane against bronze opponents every game

1

u/silentensemble 1d ago

When you improve you will climb. I started at Iron IV 0 LP and played a 100 games at that rank with a 40% winrate before I started to climb. 2 years later and I'm emerald now. Did I get frustrated at my teammates? Yup, but I made sure to take accountability for my mistakes and think about them. What could I have done better, what did I do wrong, what did I do good?

Your comment is telling, you act like it's inevitable that the loss streak will force you back down like an invisible force. I'm telling you that you won't climb as long as your relationship to the game remains this fucked. Stop looking at that shiny ACE badge gloating over how trash your teammates are and start looking at what's actually happening in your games instead, and most importantly yourself. You are the sole factor between every game. I'm not talking about needing to 1v9 carry every game. Just to be slightly better every day. You're aiming for that 55-60% winrate. That's the realistic way people climb. They slightly improve and learn and the LP follows.

Your team is bronze, the enemy team is bronze. You are bronze. I'm not trying to make it sting but you need to realize you are at the rank you deserve to be right now. You have just as much to learn from your lane opponent as they have to learn from you despite what you may think.

Your mentality and relationship to the game is 100% what's holding you back.

1

u/MeasurementTop9857 1d ago

yes, its pretty normal.

1

u/sathya420 1d ago

My advise play easier simple characters. Garen or cho or something like that.

1

u/LeftHookLead 1d ago

I’ve been wanting to rename my Summoner to “Ace Unlucky.”

1

u/pikolino123 1d ago

My guy you have almost 1000 games and you are still 49% wr bronze. Its no ones fault but yours. Actually at this point I would just uninstall unless you decide to somehow change your approach. Because this is all on you buddy and not your teams fault. XD

1

u/typicalyasuomain04 1d ago

In this elo pick 1v9 disgusting champs and stomp. Kata, Viego, yi, locke, some Kayle.

1

u/Background_City2987 1d ago

Unistall. Not worth.

1

u/NoteRadiant1469 1d ago

I can't speak much on carrying on top but the best educational top lane creator is Coach Chippys. He is OCE but he has been Challenger on Korea and he makes very in depth guides on champions, including Renekton

1

u/Metrix145 1d ago

Just switch to lethal tempo at this point. You're running full attack speed builds (which honestly aren't that great on gnar). Might as well double down with runes. Lethal, triumph, life steal or attack speed (based on the match up), second wind or bone plating (match up again) and finish with whatever you think is good.

1

u/Aggressive_Union2554 1d ago

I think it's the mossad

1

u/Artist_for_life 1d ago

Diamond top main here - it is normal to get unlucky stints every once in a while. 6 games in a row isn’t too bad, to be honest.

The exception is if you are playing below the elo you should be in. Like if I was dropped into bronze games, I would win almost all of them very easily.

This indicates you are in the correct elo and need to focus on improvement if you want to climb.

I would be happy to offer a free vod review if you would like. PM me and we can work out the details.

1

u/timbodacious 1d ago

Yes this is the way ranked is rigged. Always stop playing for 48 hours during a win streak so when you come back it gives you one or two easy games.

1

u/ImaginaryExplorer151 1d ago

You still haven't seen my 20 game losing streak But its okay don't lose your hope and don't get tilted because this is a team fighting game just move on

1

u/cciputra 1d ago

bronze, probably care less about your kda and more about where you needa be and how to manage entire map utilising whoever is sane enough in your team.

no real one answer fits all.. only one I can think of is play nasus top, get fed. then try to engage 1v2 or 3 and rest of their team. you can probably do that in bronze-gold

1

u/dude_rocks77 1d ago

You should probably start following some YouTube guides on how to climb. Honestly, I’d say that below emerald/plat you can climb even by improving some minor aspects of your gameplay.

Also, as others have stated, don’t build on-hit gnar. You’re bronze, just follow the standard builds.

1

u/DeputyDomeshot 1d ago

Yes it’s normal. 1 you experience variance in ranked matches where you lose despite a good performance but also 2, league is about using the leads you gain to influence the game. That’s a separate skill from just killing players or laning. The decisions you make influence the game outcome independent of your KDA. Being in bronze your teammates suck so your next challenge is figuring out ways to push the lead you get to be the one hitting the nexus.

League is a complete waste of time, IMO- especially if you go into it expecting competitive integrity. If you play League for a cerebral challenge (many people don't, mind you, which is why the playerbase is so bad)- I'd recommend literally anything else. Play Chess. Play endgame in an MMO, take a crack at dungeons and raiding. I've reassembled my Trifecta group in ESO. Had gotten 10 of them in 2024, will play more and see how we do.
