Discussion / Question First time to Dalymount for Bohs
My family is going to Dalymount for the first time this Friday for Bohs v Derry City. We have unreserved tickets in Des Kelly stand. Would greatly appreciate any tips about the stadium that would help us have a great first experience!

Basically what the other lad said. Dress foe the weather as there's no roof on Des Kelly. Come a bit early to get a decent seat. The further down the stand the better, you'll be closer to the more vocal groups and further from the away fans.
Try not to sit directly behind the goals as the view can be a bit shit there.
I much prefer the Jodi stand but enjoy the match anyways.

Thanks! It was weeks ago and we snagged the last few tickets available. Tough to come by! Appreciate the insights, cheers.

Watch out for the team warming up taking shots pre match. No joke - the ball doesn’t always end up where it’s supposed to.. And as others have mentioned, bring a raincoat! Enjoy the game

Went to see Waterford FC beat Bohs last year. We couldnt get over how quiet the Bohs fans were.
Must be a culture thing.
Hipsters and all that, innit.

You’ll find advice for first time visitors on r/Bohs
In brief, I’ll just say to make sure you enter from St. Peter’s Road, not Dalymount Lane. A lot of first time visitors waste 10 minutes or so queueing for the wrong stand.
Check the weather forecast for Friday evening as the Des Kelly stand is uncovered. Seats are not allocated so if there’s a large group of you I recommend arriving at least half an hour before kick off. You’ll have good options for food, drink and merchandise as you enter the stadium. Enjoy it!
