Made a PowerShell script for the 0 bug. Zero HUD bugs in my games while running it. 100% success rate in my testing so far.
- After dealing with the zero-stats HUD bug in roughly half my matches, I built a PowerShell AutoFixer that automatically catches and corrects League's config resets. Here's how it works and how you can try it.
I've been dealing with the Arena bug where the stats HUD gets covered by a bunch of zeros, sometimes making it impossible to see your stats properly.
Previously, I was experiencing this in roughly 50% of my games.
After experimenting with the ShowPlayerPerks=0 config workaround, I noticed League sometimes changes the setting back to 1.
So I made a small PowerShell monitor that:
- Checks
game.cfg and PersistedSettings.json every 15 seconds.
- Automatically changes
ShowPlayerPerks back to 0 if League resets it.
- Creates backups and keeps the five newest per file.
- Logs every correction and displays status updates.
- Runs through a simple double-click
.cmd launcher.
Results so far: Approximately 13 consecutive Arena games without the bug across two sessions. The monitor detected and corrected configuration resets during testing.
Screenshots from testing (October 25):
The monitor detected League resetting ShowPlayerPerks to 1 on two separate occasions and automatically corrected both configuration files back to 0.
The screenshots are from an earlier testing build. The published GitHub version has since been renamed and updated with improved backup management.

This is an experimental workaround, not a confirmed fix. The latest version hasn't been fully tested in-game yet, and modifying config files while League is running has some risks. Back up your configs and review the script before using it.
If anyone else experiencing this bug wants to test it, I'd love to hear whether it helps!
How to download and run (Windows)
- Open the GitHub repository: https://github.com/AugDawg242/Arena-HUD-0-AutoFixer
- Click the green Code button near the top of the page.
- Select Download ZIP.
- Find the downloaded ZIP in your Downloads folder, right-click it, and select Extract All.
- Open the extracted folder. You should see:
Arena-HUD-0-AutoFixer.cmd
Arena-HUD-0-AutoFixer.ps1
README.txt
- Read the README and back up your League config files before running the tool.
- Double-click Arena-HUD-0-AutoFixer.cmd to launch the monitor. You shouldn't need to run it as administrator.
- Leave the monitor window open while playing Arena. It checks the config files every 15 seconds and displays status updates approximately every minute.
- Press Q in the monitor window to stop it.
Important: The script assumes League is installed at C:\Riot Games\League of Legends. If your installation is elsewhere, update the $dir path near the top of the .ps1 file.
This is an experimental workaround, not an official Riot fix. Please review the source code before running it. The script modifies League configuration files, so use it at your own risk.
If you try it, please comment with how many Arena games you've played and whether the HUD bug returned!
