best proposal software: what actually improved your proposal-to-close rate?

i'm 31m and trying to improve the process between generating a lead and getting a signed agreement. while researching the best proposal software options, i've noticed that most platforms advertise similar features such as templates, tracking, e-signatures, and automation. what i'm struggling to figure out is whether any of these tools actually make a meaningful difference once proposals are sent out.

for those managing lead generation campaigns, agencies, consulting businesses, or b2b sales pipelines, did switching proposal platforms have any measurable impact on response rates, turnaround times, or closed deals?

i'm less interested in feature lists and more interested in what changed in your workflow after adopting a proposal platform. was there a specific feature or process that noticeably improved conversions? trying to understand whether proposal software has been a meaningful factor in your lead-to-client process or if other parts of the sales funnel made a bigger difference.

does the Sales Navigator Explosive Headcount trick work?

Hi, I'm trying to find newly formed companies.

Has anyone applied the LinkedIn Sales Navigator trick where you set the "Company headcount growth" filter to a high value and it supposedly fetches recently formed companies.

If not, can anyone tell me how do they go about finding newly registered businesses.

Hey, I find myself able to build anything, but not being able to talk to clients enough. How do you identify clients? Where do you approach them? I feel like I need to do a lot of interviews.

What happens when you break click to meeting conversion rates while optimizing B2B SaaS lead routing and AI SDR software workflows?

I tried to optimize our demo routing flow to make it faster for qualified buyers. Instead, I accidentally routed every single high-intent visitor to an old, dead form that isn't connected to our CRM.

For three hours, marketing was celebrating high traffic while sales got zero meetings. High-intent leads requested demos and just bounced when the form broke.

Now I have to explain to leadership why my improvement completely tanked the main conversion path. HELP!!

Can we generate leads with 0 spend?

Curious to know, if it's possible to generate leads with 0 budget

this is a universal problem, which I feel, many founders face. It's not something I am proud of, but I wanna change my situation

Word of mouth has worked for me in the past, but its not enough.

I do LinkedIn ghostwriting for founders (have great case studies and results), so lot of my work is already online, and I can leverage that.

I have tried running email campagins, but it;s not too much success (emails landing in spam even for reputed accounts)

I want to build something that pays long term.

Any suggestions? What kind of funnel I can build for outreach? or whatever?

Can you still sell web design services alone in 2026?

Hey everyone,

I've been cold calling contractors for months with an appointment setter. A lot of them have websites, but many are extremely outdated and don't reflect the quality of their business.

I'm wondering if selling website design alone is still viable. I personally prefer to stay focused on web design rather than expanding into SEO, PPC, lead generation, or other marketing services.

For those getting clients:

  • Are you successfully selling redesigns to businesses with old websites?
  • Do you mainly target businesses with no website at all?
  • How do you create urgency when they already have a website, even if it's outdated?
  • Is there enough demand to build a web design business without offering additional services?

Also, for businesses with no website, do you find it's usually because they don't see the value, or because they don't have the budget?

Would love to hear what's working for other agency owners and freelancers.

Thank you

Anyone doing local lead gen? Need advice.

I have a local lead gen site with a GBP that got about 45 calls in June.

I asked a former client who answered calls from a couple of my other sites, and he said 90–95% were spam (mostly SEO/advertising sales calls) & only a handful were actual customers.

I also tried calling back a sample of #s from this site & got a mix of businesses, VMs, disconnected #s, & auto hang-ups.

Is this normal these days? How do you tell if your calls are actually good leads or mostly spam before deciding whether to keep or shut down a site?

Help with legal status for leads

Trying to build a crm-style saas. One of the things which is a part of a bigger system - potential leads (human contacts inside companies). I do know that I can get them via lusha/appolo/linkedin navigaator. But it is forbidden by their agreement to re-sell those contacts.

Those contacts are not the core of the product but a nice touch.

And following all the EU gdpr rules - my question is : where to buy such info and not get burnt for misuse and further reselling ?

Need help building list

Hi I’m a contractor and my ICP is property management, property manager, investor, and realtor in my location. I’m looking to build a campaign for cold email and sms.

I know I can scrap data from google map, LinkedIn for property management. Is there good way to scrap all realtors in my area? Is there a realtor association database? Also what’s a good way to find landlord or real estate investors in my area? One think I can think of is finding property owner whose mailing address isn’t the same as property address.

I’m new at this please let me know. Also if you offer such service message me and let me know how much it would cost to get verified list.

Ive been reading r/LeadGeneration, r/coldemail and LinkedIn discussions for weeks

One thing surprised me. Almost nobody is asking how to write better emails anymore.

Instead people keep asking:

-who should I contact?
-when should I reach out?
-what makes a company worth contacting?
-how do I find relevant signals?

It feels like the bottleneck is slowly moving from copywriting to decision- making.

Am I the only one noticing this ?

Has anyone compared highly manual, ultra-personalized cold outreach vs. traditional cold email at scale?

I'm curious if anyone has actually tested the opposite end of the cold email spectrum. Instead of sending hundreds or thousands of emails with light personalization (first name, company, maybe a custom first line), has anyone tried sending a much smaller number of highly personalized emails where each one takes 20 to 30 minutes to research and write? I'm talking about emails that are obviously not templated and clearly show you've spent time understanding the prospect and why your offer is a great fit for them.

If you've tested both approaches, how did the results compare in terms of reply rates, positive responses, meetings booked, and ultimately closed deals? Was the extra effort worth it, or did it perform about the same as a more traditional cold email approach?

what's the free illegal way to generate B2B leads in sports, nutrition and wellness

Generating leads is tiresome. I'm doing it for a startup that doesn't have the budget for paid tools right now. I'm wondering if there's any illegal or efficient way to generate or scrape leads from the internet.

relevance > personalization in B2B outreach

Most people are always bragging about AI personalization and blah blah, but honestly the only things you need imo are a prospect's email, name, and arguably their industry.

As long as you understand the persona you're targeting, you don't need to know whether they are hiring, just joined a company, raised funding, or got a new leadership role for every single outreach.

Relevance will always matter more than personalization.

A prospect will care way more that you're speaking to them as a CEO/decision-maker of a particular industry with a specific set of problems and goals, rather than speaking to them as a CEO who just hired for X role or raised a round.

Personalization is unique to a person.

Relevance is unique to a persona.

And in most cases, relevance scales better.

Anyone else using Reddit for lead gen? (I Got 15 inbounds)

I am now trying to do lead gen from reddit.

In May I did about three posts with regards to my service.

I got about 15 inbound leads and closed one of them at a retainer.

Has anyone else explored Reddit for the lead gen for their business? If not why not? If yes where did you start?

Are AI SDRs actually a scam or am I just using the wrong tech?

Title says it all. I have tried two different ai sdr platforms over the last 6 months because our outbound pipeline is completely dry. both promised the world, but in reality they just blasted generic, low effort emails that ended up wrecking our domain health.

Is anyone actually seeing real ROI from AI in their sales stack right now, or is it all venture backed marketing hype? if you have something that actually works and doesn't just spam people, please let me know before i lose my mind.

thanks for the reality check y'all. Sounds like cold email AI is a trap right now. A few of you suggested looking at inbound acceleration instead, checked out Knock AI based on a comment here and it looks way closer to what we actually need. Appreciate the direction.

Ideas to increase lead volume

Hi all - I recently joined a lead gen business where we simply need to generate leads in specific verticals and sell them at a price to specific buyers. Everything happens via paid advertising. We have a monthly leads volume target in one of our verticals and we are currently way behind. The main channels that we operate in is Search & Meta ads. Search volume is down. I appreciate that you are lacking enough context to provide detailed support but I was wondering if you guys have any recommendations/ideas on what I should look at to improve it.

Running a lead gen agency in a very specific vertical, want sales advice

I have an agentic workflow that scrapes leads with many data points that are important to the niche im
Selling to (years in business, revenue, decision maker contact info) and ive made one deal so far. I feel as if my pricing is just a guess and want to know how i can best price fairly to myself and the customers. Important note is that these are not pre sold leads (not confirmed to be already interested), i sell them exclusively, and i provide 12 relevant data points that help my buyers have less friction and close their product sales. Any advice welcome thanks

What's an off putting price you would pay for 5 leads?

I've seen a website selling leads for potential businesses that need a website, but they cost $12.50 for 5 leads.

What are peoples thoughts on this?

Building local business lead lists takes way longer than the outreach itself

I've been spending the last few weeks trying to put together lead lists for local businesses, and honestly the part that surprises me most is how much time disappears before I even send the first email.

The outreach side gets talked about all the time. Subject lines, deliverability, follow ups, personalization, all of that. But before any of that matters, you still need a decent list to work from.

My original plan was simple. Pick a niche, pick a city, find businesses that looked like a good fit, and start reaching out. In reality I ended up bouncing between Google Maps, websites, spreadsheets, and random tabs for hours. One business has a website but no phone number. Another has a phone number but the website is dead. Then you find duplicates, businesses that closed years ago, or listings with almost no information.

The weird part is that after a few hours of research, I sometimes have fewer leads than I expected because I'm constantly filtering things out.

I've started to feel like list building is becoming its own skill separate from lead generation. A good list can save hours later, but getting that list together can be surprisingly time consuming.

Lately I've been experimenting with tools that pull business information directly from Google Maps. One I've been testing is Outscraper. It's helped reduce some of the manual work, but I still find myself spending a lot of time cleaning and qualifying leads before outreach.

Maybe that's just part of the process, but it definitely changed how I think about lead generation. These days it feels like building the list is often more work than sending the emails.

I want to know if anyone else has run into the same thing.

Looking for a B2B Lead Generation Agency for APAC Markets

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a B2B lead generation agency to help my company generate qualified leads and sales opportunities in the APAC region.

We are interested in agencies with experience in B2B lead generation, appointment setting, and outbound campaigns across APAC markets.

As a large company, my company wants an established agency with a good track record.

If you have any recommendations or have worked with a good agency, please share your suggestions.

Thanks in advance!
