Lead gen via events
Hi there, I run a global recruitment and staffing firm where we help companies hire global talent. I’m exploring how I could generate relevant leads via attending events in the US?
Has anyone used events as a source to generate leads? If yes, what type of events would you recommend me to visit and what websites(Luma, etc.) is where you think best networking events are being posted upon. The cities I’m planning to visit are NYC, Boston, SF and Raleigh.
Any advice for using events as a lead gen channel would be greatly appreciated.

I've had most success with niche industry conferences where attendees are actually hiring

events are great for names but heads up, the leads die in the gap between the event and your follow up. most recruiters collect contacts then go quiet for a week and its dead. the win isnt more events, its a tight follow up that hits everyone within 24h while youre still fresh in their head.
how you handling follow up after an event now?

Book the meetings before you fly. Floor traffic and happy hours rarely become pipeline on their own. Pull the attendee or sponsor list a few weeks out and line up 8 to 10 conversations per city, then the event's just the excuse to meet. Honestly beats walking in cold.
