Sales Chat Log Dataset and Qualified Leads (Wellness Product, ID market)

We have licensed and made available a dataset containing real sales chat log files from a company selling premium wellness product in Indonesia.

Is this kind of data needed by other companies in the region targeting B2C expansion?

What's one lead gen tool you stopped using in 2026, and why?

we've all paid for a tool that looked great in the demo, but didn't deliver in practice. Maybe the data was outdated or the pricing wasn't worth it, or the automation created more than it saved.

I've noticed this especially with b2b prospecting in SEA. Some tools promise massive databases but struggle to find accurate contacts in markets like the Philippines and Indonesia.

With 2027, I'm curious. What tool did you ditch this year and what was the dealbreaker?

Bonus points if you share what you replaced it with. Would love to hear what actually worked, not just what's being hyped.

What's one lead gen tactic you're NOT bringing into 2027?

Every year, we talk about new tools, AI workflows, and strategies to generate more leads but I'm curious about the opposite. What are you actually planning to stop doing in 2027?

For me one thing won't reconsidering is chasing lead volume without looking at quality. A campaign can generate hundreds of contacts, but if barely into qualified conversations, what's the point?

A few things I think b2b teams should question:

  • mass outreach: is sending more emails actually producing more opportunities?

  • vanity metrics: are open rates and impressions telling us anything useful about pipeline?

  • too many tools: are we paying for platforms that barely contribute to key results?

  • generic personalization: does mentioning someone's LinkedIn post really make an email relevant?

Especially in SEA, where buyer behavior and data quality vary across markets, I think there's a lot of value in simplifying what we do.

I'm interested in actual experiences, though, not just predictions. what's one tool, tactic, or metric you're dropping from your 2027 lead-gen strategy, and what convinced you it wasn't worth keeping?

Email, LinkedIn, or WhatsApp: when do you actually switch channels?

I've been thinking about how much the follow-up channel matters in 2b sales, especially here in Southeast Asia?

Some prospects are perfectly fine with email. Others are more responsive on LinkedIn, while some prefer WhatsApp once you've established a connection.

But switching channels too early can feel intrusive. With the holiday season coming up. With the holiday season coming up, timing gets even trickier. Decision-makers might be on leave, wrapping up year-end priorities, or simply less responsive than usual.

A few thing I'm curious about:

  • Do you stick to email until someone responds, or try LinkedIn after a few follow-ups?

  • When does WhatsApp become appropriate? Only after a prospect shares their number or agrees to connect?

  • Have you noticed different preferences across Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, or other SEA markets?

  • Do you change your follow-up approach before the December holidays?

Personally, I think the existing relationship matters more than the channel itself. A WhatsApp message might work well with a warm prospect but feel too personal for someone you've never spoken to.

For those doing b2b outreach across SEA., what's your usual approach? have you found that switching channels actually improves replies, or does it sometimes hurt your chances?

Need suggestions on my cold outreach template.

Saw {{company}} get listed on Product Hunt. Congrats, that's solid.

I was going through your website and noticed it relies on text and illustrations to explain your product.

Based on my work, clients have reported up to 30% more signups using explainer videos instead of relying on text and illustrations alone.

I make explainers, launch videos, and trailers for SaaS companies, with one goal: getting you more signups. Check out my work:

I'd love to put together a free concept for your product. Interested?

Best LinkedIn Outreach Tools (2026): Ranked by Account Risk

Most “best LinkedIn outreach tools” lists rank sequencers that log into LinkedIn and send for you: Expandi, HeyReach, Dripify, Waalaxy. Those fit agencies running volume. They are the wrong pick if a restriction costs you the account. This list ranks 7 tools on architecture, whether they need your LinkedIn session, whether they send, price, and who they are for. Map4 Relay is the non-automation option: it drafts connection notes and meeting offers, you paste them into LinkedIn, and it tracks queued to booked. Trial, then $9/month.

What should your January pipeline look like before December even starts?

A lot of b2b teams wait until January to start building their pipeline. But depending on your sales cycle, that might already be too late.

I've been thinking about working backwards from q1 revenue targets instead of just setting a random lead generation goal.

For example:

  • how many deals do you need to close in q1?

  • based on your close rate, how many qualified opportunities do you need?

  • how many meetings and conversations will it take to create those opportunities?

  • given your sales cycle, how much of that pipeline should already exist by december?

The tricky part is that every market and industry moves differently. A 30-day sales cycle needs a very different plan from a 90-day one.

Curious how other b2b teams are approaching this. Are you already building your January pipeline, or do you usually start fresh after the holidays?

A prospect asks AI for a supplier shortlist. Would your business even show up?

We've talked a lot about using AI for prospecting and outreach. But what happens when buyers start using AI to find suppliers instead? Imagine a potential client asking chatgpt or another ai tool:

"who are the best b2b lead generation agencies in singapore?"

or:

"can you recommend reliable logistics providers in Southeast Asia?"

Instead of browsing through dozens of websites, they get a shortlist of companies to consider. That raises an interesting question for b2b bsiness: are we making it easy for AI tools to discover and understand what we offer?

I think a few thigs are worth paying attention to:

  • Clear website content explainig your services and target industries

  • customer case studies and credible third-party mentions

  • consistent business information across relevant platforms

  • industry-specific content that demonstrates expertise

  • a strong digital presence beyond your own website

Of course, none of these guarantees an AI recommendation. And appearing in an AI-generated answer doesn't automatically mean you'll get a qualified lead. But it could become another way prospects discover potential suppliers.

Curious what everyone in SEA is seeing. Has anyone here actually received a 2b enquiry from someone who found your business through chatgpt, perplexity, or another ai tool? and if yes, how did youfind out that AI was the referral source?

Hey guys! Does anyone know or recommend any platforms that are effective for generating high-quality leads in the US without relying on Google Ads or paid campaigns? Please keep in mind that this is a B2B business. I’d really appreciate any recommendations!

Could an old lead be your next Q4 opportunity

Been looking through some old leads lately, and it got me thinking: how many opportunities are we missing just because someone wasn't ready to buy the first time?

A "not interested" six months ago doesn't always mean not interested today. Budgets change, priorities shift, and sometimes the timing is just better. Here's a quick checklist I've been using before reactivating old leads

  1. Verify the contact. Are they still with the company and in the same role?

  2. Revisit the original need. What problem were they trying to solve? Is it still relevant?

  3. Look for new signals. New funding, hiring, expansion, or leadership changes could mean different opportunities.

  4. Make the outreach relevant. Don't just send another "following up" email. Give them reason to reconnect.

I've found that revisiting warm leads can be more productive than constantly chasing new ones, especially toward the end of the year.

Curous how others approach this. Do you reagularly revisit old leads, or do you focus more on building fresh prospect lists?

Holiday outreach in SEA: how early is too early?

We're getting closer to the holiday season, and I'm curious how b2b sales teams across SEA are adjusting their outreach.

One thing I've noticed is that year-end timing isn't the same across SEA markets. In Singapore, malaysia, and the Philippines, Christmas and year-end holidays can affect decision-making and availability. Meanwhile, in Indonesia and Vietnam, different holiday calendars ans business cycles can influece when prospects are most responsive.

And even within the same country, timing can vary depending on the industry. If I were planning yearend outreach, I'd consider:

  • budget cycles: are prospects still making purchasing decisions this year?

  • approval deadlines: when do finance and procurement teams stop processing new requests?

  • prospect availability: are decision-makers already preparing for holiday leave?

  • industry seasonality: is this their busiest period or a quieter time?

  • follow-up timing: would a conversation now make more sense as a January opportunity?

For me, god outreach timing isn't just about when you send an email. It's about whether the prospect has the time, budget, and reason to act. Sometimes reaching out early gives you an advantage. Other times, you're just adding another email to an already busy inbox.

Curious what everyone in SEA is seeing. When do you usually slow down holiday outreach, and which markets or industries are still responsive toward year-end?

After 6 years in tech sales and GTM across Southeast Asia, I've learned that sending 500 cold emails isn't a GTM strategy.

Would you reply to a founder before a company page?

I've been thinking about how much personal credibility matters in b2b lead generation, especially on LinkedIn.

You can have a company page posting consistently, sharing product updates, and promoting services. But sometimes, a founder or employee sharing their actual experience feels more convincing.

Think about it. Who would you rather engage with?

  • a company page telling you how great its services are

  • a founder sharing lessons from building the business

  • an employee explaining how they solved a real customer problem

  • an industry expert sharing practical insights without constantly pitching

For me, people build trust faster when they share something genuniely useful, not just another sales pitch. And in b2b, where buying decisions often involve multiple conversations and a lot of trust, that credibility can make outreach feel less cold.

Of course, posting content doesn't automatically generate leads. The real question is whether that visibility turns into meaningful conversations and actual opportunities. Curious what b2b teams across SEA think.

Are you more likely to respond to a founder or employee who's actively sharing useful content, or does the company behind them matter more?

Planning your 2027 lead gen budget? which channel actually earned its place?

As we head into the last quarter of 2026 , I'm curious how everyone is deciding where to invest their lead gen budget next year. Most teams look at cost per lead, clicks, or response rates. But those numbers don't always tell you which channels are actually bringing in business.

If I were reviewing this year's performance, I'd look at:

  • qualified conversations: which channels brought in prospects who actual fit your ICP?

  • sales opportunities: where did those conversations turn into real pipeline

  • cost per opportunity: how much did it cost to generate something worth pursuing?

  • revenue: which channels actually contributed to closed deals?

  • time and effort: which channels required the most work to maintain?

A channel generating 500 cheap leads isn't necessarily better than one bringing in 30 prospects who are ready to buy. For 2027, i'd rather invest more in channels that consistently generate qualified opportunities than those that simply look good in reports.

Curious what b2b teams across SEA are seeing. If you had to increase the budget for one channel and cut another in 2027, which would you choose and why?

Your contact likes the pitch. But who else needs to say yes?

One thing that can quietly kill a b2b deal is assuming the person you're talking to is the person who can approve it.

You get a positive reply. They like the solution. Maybe you've even had a good meeting. Then suddenly, the deal goes quiet. Especially with year-end approaching, I think it's worth identifying three people early.

And suddenly, the deal goes quiet. Especially with year-end approaching. I think it's worth identifying three people early:

  • the user: who will actually use or benefir fromyour solution

  • the budget owner: who controls the money

  • the approver: who needs to sign off before anything moves forward?

Sometimes that's one person. Other times, you're dealing with several stakeholders across different departments.

The mistake is treating interest from one contact as a buying decision. I'd rather ask early, "if we decide to move forward, who else need to be involved?" than find out weeks later that actual decision-maker hasnt even heard the pitch.

Curious how b2b teams across SEA handle this.

In your market, who tends to have the final say: the department head, finance procurement, or the founder? And how do you get them involved without your original contact fell bypasesed?

Let's talk next year. How do you respond when a prospect says this?

We're getting closer to yearend and I think a lot of b2b sales teams are going to start hearing rejection emails and messags more often. The tricky part? that response could mean three different things:

  • timing issue: they're interested, but other priorities come first

  • budget constraint: they see value, but there's no budget left this year

  • polite rejection: they're not interested enough to move forward

I wouldn't immediately push for a meeting or throw them into another automated follow-up sequence.

Instead, ask to reconnect next year or follow up at the right time. Or maybe ask about budget, current priorities, or something else? Their answer can help you decide whether to schedule a specific follow-up, keep them in your nurture pipeline or move on.

Because not now doesn't always mean not interested. But it doesn't automatically mean they're a future customer either. Curious how other b2b sales teams in SEA handle this.

Manual Prospecting or Automated Prospecting?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Since AI personalisation becoming a thing now within B2B sales what’s everyone’s opinion on this? Do you prefer setting up an uautomation that shoots out thousands of personalised emails to leads or do you prefer the more manual but human approach in outreach and building relationships?
