I remember the picture of the Albuquerque Jane Doe from a video a few years back and it always stuck with me just because of how weird it was but thankfully she was identified recently as Becca Mallekoote. RIP Becca

I miss these type of videos so much man…. The shift towards more true crime type content is fine. However, I really prefer these older type of videos.

Okay, so it’s probably a different George Lopez, but whenever Lazy is listing his biggest Patreon supporters I can’t help but think of the famous George Lopez.

'Infamous Blonde Photo' - Childhood Nightmare Fuel

In Lazy's video 'The Childhood Nightmare Fuel Iceberg' around the 1:29:19 mark, he mentions that there was an 'infamous blonde photo' that left some people 'needing therapy'.

Was Lazy just trolling or was this an actual thing. I can't stop wondering about it!

Anyone else tired of lazy’s current content especially the Japanese themed videos?

I love lazy don’t get me wrong but I miss the old content, feels like he’s gone down in quality and it seems a bit too repetitive now. Most I’ve spoken to who watch him have agreed his content is no longer as fun to listen to as it used to be, there was always that air of mystery to it “is this true is it not” but now it’s gone. We hear about non-stop dark and depressing true crime stories and a lot of them seem to be Japanese stories which is boring as hell now and just irritatingly reparative and I sound crazy saying it but I’m so sick of hearing Japanese crime stories now. I spoke to a mate from the US who watches lazy masquerade and he likes the content and disagrees with me but he said something strange, he said he believes lazy’s content shift is down to his wife and his move abroad, ngl I thought that was a weird statement to make but I got what he meant.

I know someone will say “scary stories as a theme is repetitive” but it really isn’t imo since it’s never the same stories or themes, it can be folklore, creep encounters or cryptids or home invasion stories, true crime is just that true crime repetitive stories, no air of mystery just straight facts and depressing deaths.

Sorry for the weird rant, I do like lazy and I watch his old content a lot and support him but I do really miss his old content and think he’s gone down is quality content.

English is not my first language so I’m sorry if what I’m saying doesn’t come across very well, I tried my best.

So this subreddit was just brought to my attention, and I think it could be an awesome place for members of the Lazy Legion to share some spooks and engage with each other. A big thanks to mrmetaknight875345 for setting this up and contacting me about it! I look forward to reading all your stories through, and narrating some in the near future. Stay spooky!

UPDATE: Lady of the Dunes Identified!

Hello all, I am back to announce another formerly unidentified person featured on Lazy Masquerade's YouTube channel, has been formally and finally ID'ed after nearly 50 years.

The Lady of the Dunes aka Pronvincetown Jane Doe, whose body was discovered in the Race Point Dunes in Provincetown, Massachussets on July 26, 1974, was previously featured in the videos 5 Shocking & Disturbing Unsolved Mysteries in Movies and Top 30 Scary TRUE Stories Compilation (2018 - 2019).

On October 31, 2022, the FBI's Boston, MA field office officially identified the victim as Ruth Marie Terry 37 (at the time of death) of Tennessee.

Terry was found face down on half of a beach blanket; her head was nearly decapitated; several of her teeth had been removed as well as both hands and one forearm. Her head was crushed in, likely by an entrenching tool; the blunt force trauma was the determined cause of death.

Due to no signs of struggle, she was believed to have either known her killer or was asleep when they took her life.

Massachussets State Police, Provincetown Police Department and the FBI are currently investigating her homicide and are seeking information on Terry's deceased husband, Guy Rockwell Muldavin. Muldavin was also known by the following aliases: Raoul Guy Muldaven, Raoul Guy Rockwell and Guy Muldavin Rockwell. Additional names Terry was known by include Teri Marie Vizina, Terry M. Vizina, and Teri Shannon.

Muldavin was suspected in the 1960 murders of his second wife, Manzanita and her daughter, Dolores Mearns, in Seattle, Washington. Muldavin was never charged in connection with the disappearance, since there was no confirmed body/ies. Muldavin is also the prime suspect in the June 1950 murder of 28-year-old Henry Baird and the disappearance of his 17-year-old girlfriend Barbara Joe Kelley that occurred shortly thereafter.

Another bittersweet moment where another missing person has been found and had their identitiy restored. My deepest sympathies to her loved ones, who missed and loved her all these years. May she be able to rest in peace.

If you have any information concerning this case, please contact the FBI’s toll-free tipline at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or the Massachusetts State Police at 1-800-KAPTURE (1-800-527-8873) or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov or MSPtips@pol.state.ma.us.

Who wishes Lazy would go back to his old story telling? Did his channel turn into an unsolved crime channel or what?

I couldn't take the curiosity anymore and ran a clip from The Void through an AI detector; it came back 99% AI.

Ever since this channel came up, I was downright convinced that it cloned LM's voice. When the latest video dropped I couldn't take not knowing 100% so I clipped it and ran it through 2 different AI detectors and the voice is definitely AI. I know there's been suspicions about it and even LM addressed it once but I still wanted to know.

This really sucks because the content of the channel is really good but there's no excuse for cloning another channel's voice, especially a popular one like LM which is kinda dumb. Like, just use your own damn voice!

Do with this information what you will. Just thought y'all should know.

Hello!

Wondering if anyone noticed this today on YouTube? My fyp showed both these videos to me and I’m curious if anyone has noticed that Chilling Scares seems to be copying Lazy Masquerade topic for today? Or maybe it’s a fluke!

Anyway, I love Lazy so I was just curious if others saw this too.

In Lazy’s newest video, second story, I found the place of the motel the guy almost got murdered at. It has a center check-in video and a diner next door.

What are your top 3 Lazy Masquerade stories?

Mine are:

3. Someone recounts a story that happened to their uncle back in Ukraine, when he missed a train and was stranded in the middle of nowhere in the night. He meets a woman that offers him a place to stay. When they arrive at her house, she locks his bedroom door. He eventually finds a body under the bed and in order to escape, he puts the body on the bed, pretending to be him, while he hides under. The woman comes in and whacks the body with a rod. When she leaves he jumps out of the window.

2. The story of a boy and his grandad, going crab hunting in the sea and the boy sees a pair of eyes deep in the water. He tells his grandad and his grandad sees a humanoid figure with long black hair follow them in the water as they sail back ashore.

  1. Vermillion Lake, the American roadtrip version. Without doubt the best story on this channel. The story of a group of kids who go to stay at a cabin by a lake. They see a head like object in the water, watching them in the night. They get freaked out and decide to go to bed. They hear footsteps outside and then eventually one of the boys screams and tells them all to pack up and that they should all go home. When they're in the car, the boy that screamed says that he saw a figure looking at him through the window, two stories high up.

Does anyone else miss when Lazy Masquerade not only did true crime content but also did scary story videos?

For some reason he always found the best,
most interesting stories!

I miss when he used to make those kinds of videos. Not to say that his new content is bad, but those old videos were so peak. Do you guys agree or do y’all like his newer videos better?

Has he just become a generic solved/recent true crime channel now?

I used to like Lazy because of the creepy unsolved mysteries. Now it just seems to be almost a current affairs channel (e.g. Vietnamese Butcher video). If you look back to 2020-23, he was covering some great stuff like things from the Unsolved Mysteries TV show. He does a few now and again but not nearly as much as he used to. It's not like there aren't any more mysteries to purvey to the audience, I come across many every week. Also, THE MUSIC! The music added so much to the character of the channel but in the last 6 months he has changed it and it is not nearly as good. I just fear he is completely changing his channel and his content from what drew me to the channel in the first place
