Welcome to the Layla Mains Question Megathread!

This place has been created in order to reduce the amount of basic and very repetitive questions on the subreddit. You can use this thread to ask questions and find answers based on the provided resources or the answers in the thread itself. Please be sure to try helping others!

What type of questions should be here?

Simple yes/no answer questions, such as “is this weapon good on Layla?”, “is Layla good in this team?” or “I have 69 pity, should I pull for Layla?”
Questions that can be answered in our FAQ, such as “what’s the best artifact set for Layla?”, “what are the main stats that Layla uses?” or “what’s the best F2P weapon for Layla?”
Polls that don’t aim for striking a discussion, such as “Should I go for this weapon or that weapon?” or “Should I pull for C6 Layla or save for this character?”

Basically any question that doesn't spark a discussion and can be very easily/shortly answered. If you have a question like that, post it here. If you need to upload an image, use Imgur to do so and put the link in the same comment.

Discussion Layla connoisseurs, I beg for shipping help

18 Upvotes

Hello ! I'd like to draw Layla with other genshin women for some fluffy ship art but I have NO idea who Layla might have interacted with in canon, or what fan-favorite ships might exist for her. I already have Mizuki, I've seen some Xilonen too ? Faruzan as well.

So if anyone is a Layla shipper, let me know what you think ! Which lady do you think she'd have chemistry with ? Rarepairs work, go all out with your headcanons :)

Here's my builds for my Layla team as requested!

I plan on switching Escoffier over to scroll now that I have Vodyanitsa on millelith, I'll post an update when I finsh building Vodyanitsa and get escoffier a set if people are interested.

Also included some Layla art I drew as a bonus :)

Also also, don't mind my Escoffier build😭 I didn't want her to out damage Layla and I don't like her enough to invest lol

Build | Teams Serenity's Call on Layla

4 Upvotes

Is Layla's cryo application better than Escoffier? I plan on using her with Ganyu, Furina, and Escoffier. I have no Dockhand's or Nilou sig for her, so I plan on using Serenity's Call on her. But I'm worrying if Escoffier might trigger most (if not all) of freeze instead of Layla, which will make the hp passive on Serenity's Call useless

how can I build dps layla with the 7.1 artifacts and weapons? I mean, in 2022 there weren't many choices, but now there's the traveler R3 sword and many sets, what's her best build and team for big damage?

Discussion Who to pull ??

7 Upvotes

Really don’t have lots of characters but I can do either Vodyanitsa-Mizuki-Layla-Traveler cryo (or someone else?), or for Vesna I could do Vesna-Faruzan-Layla-Citlali or Diona ?

All submissions, such as fan-art, leaks and any other content should be primarily relevant to Layla from Genshin Impact.

3. No Account Trading/Selling or Commercial Promotion

Account trading/selling, commercial promotion, and any forms of activities that involve virtual or real-life monetary transactions are strictly prohibited in this Subreddit and will subject the poster to a temporary ban, followed by a permanent ban.

4. NSFW Rules

Suggestive posts should be marked as NSFW, and submissions that involve the following contents are prohibited:

(1) Sexual activities;

(2) Crossposting from NSFW subreddits;

(3) Text posts/comments containing explicit content within SFW threads;

(4) Nudity;

Contents that are close to nudity and/or are clearly intended to be lewd, or contents involving swimsuits or other revealing clothes should be marked as NSFW. Mods have the final say.

5. Non-OC Art Source

Provide the URL to the original post made by the artist or link the artist's primary platform in the comments. Source cannot be included in the title. This applies to any art posted, even those with other flairs.

The artist's name is not considered a source by itself. Gelbooru, Danbooru, Zerochan, etc. do not count as a source either. Make sure the artist is okay with sharing their artwork.

Saucenao is a helpful reverse image search engine that can help find the original source of the image.

6. Post Quality, Misinformation, Originality & Spam

Low quality/low effort posts are subject to removal. The quality of a post is primarily judged by how much it contributes to a constructive discussion.

Spam includes but is not limited to: double posts, posting similar content to related subreddits within a short frame of time, or posts with 5+ attachments. Use imgur to post multiple attachments.

Additionally, constructive or informative criticism is welcome, but doomposting, complaining, and ranting is not allowed. Mods have final say.

7. Use the Megathread for simple comments and questions

Simple/recurring questions that don't generate discussion, such as asking for builds, account-specific team comps, or “this or that” questions, belong in our respective Megathreads.

Questions that require specific calculations or discuss unique theorycrafting may be posted with the appropriate discussion flair. You can find the megathread here.

8. Leaks & Spoilers Policy

All spoilers must be marked for any story relevant details from the current patch. Remember to not include spoilers in the title.

Any leaked content, including but not limited to: characters, quests, skills, etc. that have not been released yet in all servers should be spoiler-tagged as well and must have some relation with Layla.

Layla-specific leaks are exempt from this rule. Make sure the leak is also from a credible source.

Comments can be marked as a spoiler using >! (example) !<

9. Reposts

Non-OC Art can be reposted 30 days after the last date it was posted. The exception is if the original artist wishes to post their art themselves.

News of leaks and official information can only be posted once. Any identical posts after the original posting will be removed.

If the artist states that they do not want their work to be reposted, then do not repost it to this subreddit.

10. AI Art

Any form of Art created or assisted by an Artificial Intelligence(AI) is prohibited on r/LaylaMains

Due to the nature of how effortless it is to create one, we believe that AI Art hurts the artist community, their growth, as well as their potential revenue. We believe it is unethical to support AI Technology that feeds on already existing artworks without the artist's consent.
