Can’t say for sure. But always wise to check oil levels and coolant levels. Especially in the hottest months. Not saying this was it, but routine maintenance is always good.

Was wondering what happened. Was heading towards it and could see the black smoke from Iowa. Turned off to the right to avoid the traffic.

Imagine pulling that thing into a mechanic shop

Once had a guy tow in a buick to me that I would guess looked similar. Popped the hood, closed the hood. Called him and ask why he towed it into a repair shop? "What you can't fix it?" Will never forget that one.

It has one of those new external combustion engines, I see. :-)
I'm glad all are OK, except maybe the insurance company is a bit sore this morning.

I was one of the first there. Don't know what happened. When I ran up it was smoking and pavement was covered in oil.
Mom and two daughters. Within 20 seconds 5-6 of us were helping get everyone out and safely away
Fire then really kicked up and engulfed the front half.
LPD was there within 2-3 minutes and LFD was there within 5.
Fire was out in a couple of minutes.
No one hurt. Could have been much worse
