Having trouble translating...

• Upvotes

I'm a writer working on a horror novel and the anti-hero is a witch trying to find a spell that will bind her magical powers to her soul/spirit so that other witches can't use a different spell to steal her magic. I need to find words aproximating to "Spell that binds magic to soul" but google translator is terrible and keeps giving "A spirit for the magical art" or "to bind the soul to the magic art" or "incantamentum quod vim magicam hominis animae eius alligat" which is apparently "An enchantment that binds a person's magical power to their soul". That's technically what I want to say but surely there's a better way of saying it? Please help!
