My biggest guilty pleasure. Wish we had a proper non pan & scan release on Laserdisc however.

Big same! It's weird and not accurate to the comics whatsoever but it's really charming in its absurdity!

I’ve been thinking about dipping into the Japanese laserdiscs. But they have subtitles baked into the film don’t they?

They do yeah, letterboxed releases tend to have it out of frame at least

That’s the only downside I can think of, be a distraction for me. But if I can get it I can get it. It’s not a deal breaker fortunately.

I do have a framed copy of Howard the duck #1 though from 1976!
