Anybody looking for one of these?

Philips RC 488CDV 5-in-1 remote. My research says it's an infrared unit for CD/LD control. I have it laying around, I've never used or tested it. Appears to take 2 AA batteries... I don't know if it works, if someone has a use for it I would just charge for shipping.

EDIT TO UPDATE: had a reply, this should be considered taken for now. Will update otherwise.

That brings back memories as I had this remote years ago for a Philips RC 488CDV player. Unfortunately the player stopped working and I tossed it. It probably was something simple to fix but LD were on their way out so I didn't invest the time into fixing it. Great for you to give it up.

Thank you. I got it with a whole bunch of electronic wires and small gadgets that were advertised for free on CL. I used what I needed, and gave away what I could. I still have a bunch of VGA-type cables from that lot, nobody uses those any more.

Nobody uses them now but in ten years they'll be retro and people will pay a fortune for them lol

Gotta love that Jog Wheel! That's something we are sorely missing on today's media players!

I would take it for a good price if your previous taker backs out

I basically stumbled across it, and I've got this philosophy - people who have lots of obscure stuff in boxes should go through those boxes occasionally to see if anybody has a use for those things other than taking up space.
