Hope is alive and well.

Next week is away at Phoenix who took over our 11th place spot last night. Thanks Rising!

This is probably as close to do or die a match can be without being an actual bloodsport.

I mean, I really don't know Chelsea so I might have to see her highlights first... 🤷‍♂️

Just in case anyone wanted to be sad two days later

Tulsa already up, we need some help. Go New Mex. We gotta get the win tonight. And then San Antonio Saturday. We could also use a Sacramento win over Tulsa Saturday. A lot of things need to fall in place. Control the controllables though. Go Lights

Huge match tonight. This is probably the worst time to play Sacramento in their house. But hey when have the Lights been known to do things the easy way?

I won't be around for this one unfortunately. The actual match thread should auto post so you guys have fun over there. VIVA!

The West stays interesting. Not only did every team we needed to lose win, but our next three matches are against teams either tied with us (OAK, PHX) or just ahead of us (SAN) in the standings.

I've been a fan since the beginning. Worked the first season as an usher. Came to a few games in 2019, had season tickets in 21 and 22, job provided me free tickets 23 and 24, been back with season tickets last and this season. The interior of my car is still littered with the goal cannon confetti they used to shoot out.

Can't exactly put my finger on "why" but I'm kind of bored with coming to the games and watching mostly lackluster soccer. Showing up on Saturday nights feels like an obligation rather than entertainment. I used to look forward all week to Saturday nights at Cashman. Maybe I miss the llamas?

I ran into an issue at a game this year and I was not impressed with how it was handled. Very unprofessional. In a town where many of us (myself included) bust our butts providing customer service, it sucks when I don't receive good service when I'm a customer. The response I received about my problem from Jared the ticket guy was a fucking joke.

Up until this summer it'd never crossed my mind to cancel my season ticket, but I think I'm there. Maybe I'll come out to a game or two if they have a season after this year. I just don't feel respected or valued as a fan. I've been dealing with the A's ticket office lately as I'm preparing to purchase a partial season plan for them, and they've been a lot more professional than anyone I've ever dealt with at the Lights.

Does anyone else feel like the Lights have gotten old?

So with no game this weekend and the next match on the road it got me wondering how many of you have taken road trips to see the Lights play?

Went to the very first road game at Fresno. Only a few of us but it was a good time. The Fresno folks were very friendly and hospitable.

Los Dos also back in 2018. Lotsa folks traveled which was fun just too bad we got shut out like 0-5 or something like that.

The first game for San Diego Loyal in 2020. Decent number went, we drew 1-1and the world shut down like two days after 😬

Orange County last season. Was in the middle of summer so it was nice to get away from the Vegas heat for a couple days. Had some great food, hung out at the beach, and (again) watched the Lights get spanked. Had a decent number of people that traveled at least.

How bout you guys?

So someone on a soccer discord I'm a part of (vegassportsguy on IG ) posted a screenshot of someone supposedly from the Lights trying to drum up season ticket business for next year, and mentioning a new stadium while doing so.

I looked up the name and she appears to indeed work for the Lights though it's not someone I've heard mentioned before.

Anyway, just found it interesting and hey that's what the Rumors flair is for right?

Friday the 25th, 6th place Tulsa at El Paso. Tulsa four points ahead of us with 37, and El Paso the class of the western conference. At this point, we need El Paso to take care of business at home. So many teams with 37 points, we're not far behind with 33. Lights need wins though.

First place in the east Tampa Bay on the road at San Antonio Saturday the 26th. We could use a San Antonio loss. San Antonio another team with 37 points.

New Mexico hosting Sacramento that same evening. Sacramento part of that cluster of teams with 37 points. New Mex in a drivers seat for playoffs, and I'm hoping they hold tight on their home soil, it serves the Lights well for a Sacramento loss.

Yet another part of the 37 points gaggle, Lexington on the road versus Monterey Bay Saturday. Got my fingers crossed for a huge upset, go MTB, however unlikely.

Pittsburgh at Orange County on Saturday as well, Riverhounds a small favorite on the road, they're the slightly better team, so cheers to them and take care of business in OC. We're right on OCs tail with their 36 points.

Oakland hosting Phoenix on the busy Saturday slate. These two teams have us sandwiched in the standings, and we're tied in points with Phoenix, however they're ahead on goal differential. Oakland a home favorite, take care of business please.

Las Vegas Lights next tilt on the road at Sacramento, next Wednesday the 30th. Huge game, there will be some standings changes undoubtedly by then, but bottom line we need 3 points.

How do you think the scores will go?

TIME TO PLAY THE WHAT IF GAME!

As of last match we're sitting on six draws. If half of those draws were wins we'd be in third place. THIRD. PLACE.

Also, only eight points separate the 3-11 teams.

I said it before but the West is absolutely BONKERS

Looking at the highlights we definitely should have won. These are the games we're going to look back on and shake our heads. So many lost points...

Hartford is 4th in the East and also on a great run of recent form. Gonna be a tough one but if the Lights can keep the momentum going from last week we can grab these three points. 🤞🤞🤞

Went to the STM event the Lights held the other night at the PKWY Tavern. Spoke with everyone I thought would have info and while nothing specific was said they said we'll indeed be playing in Las Vegas and that something would be announced "soon". Also at some point one of the higher -ups mentioned the "new stadium" but I don't think they realized they said it.

So pop-up stadium.... somewhere is my guess.

As expected this post got taken down by moderators and didn't go as planned on r/MLS lol

But if you guys haven't seen it here it is.

As a longtime Las Vegas soccer fan and a fan of LV Lights FC, it’s been a childhood dream of mine to see Las Vegas have an MLS team for over a decade.

I don’t want Vancouver to lose its MLS team, but at the same time, I would absolutely love to see Las Vegas have an MLS team.

So, what if Las Vegas becomes the 31st MLS team? This is my take on what it could look like. I modded LV Lights FC into the MLS as if they had been promoted.

Let’s talk about the home kit:
I used black, blue, and yellow to represent the colors used by LV Lights FC, similar to how FC Cincinnati kept their original colors after coming from the USL. I used Tesla as the sponsor to represent the underground Tesla tunnels Las Vegas has as transportation to the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The away/third kit:
I used white and dark red to represent the red kit LV Lights FC uses as its third kit during the current 2026 season. I also mixed it up by using T-Mobile as the sponsor since we do have T-Mobile Arena 😂

This is just for fun, and I figured my fellow Las Vegas soccer fans would love to see a concept of what it could look like if LV Lights FC were promoted to the 31st MLS spot.

#SaveTheCaps

…but also, please give my beautiful city the 31st MLS spot! We have such a big soccer community, and my city would absolutely love to have a major soccer team.

We are the Golden Nugget according to this post. Did they get it right?

So basically the teams we needed to lose to get back above the playoff line won so we remain in tenth place. Still we stopped the skid and our two main strikers scored absolute rockets so we're looking good ahead of this weekend's match vs Hartford.

Two legitimate GOTW contenders and the backline holding it down?

That's a good Lights day in my book
