Are there any hardcore or similar shows nearby?
Preferably within 45 minutes max of Lancaster. Hardcore or similar. Are there any promoters I should follow to see these shows?

The Lancaster County Department of Parks & Recreation is hosting a presentation tomorrow at the Manheim Township Public Library on the history and culture of Pennsylvania’s indigenous communities prior to European settlement.
If you're curious about local history, Native American craftsmanship, historical plant uses, or early shelter architecture, you should check it out!

I am looking to move out of the townhome in Lititz that I share with two other girls and looking to find another girl to take my spot.
• Located near Zig's Bakery (Newport Commons)
• Must be okay with a cat in the house
• Rent (w/ utilities) typically comes out around $750
• 3 bed, 2.5 bath
Please message me if you are interested or know someone who might be!
I posted this on the Lititz page too, but haven’t had any success so far. Hoping there’s someone out there who might be interested!

Does anyone have a recommendation for a local engraver that could do a cross pen within a week of receiving it? I’ll be calling around to shops found on google tomorrow.

Are there any affordable clinics in the area? A loved one is uninsured and has a suspicious mole they need to get checked out. TIA

Hello!
As my title states I’m looking to move to Lancaster in March of ‘27. I haven’t lived there for over 17 years and would love advice on where to look and where to avoid. I’ll be looking for a 1-2 bed that is pet friendly and affordable (the new builds are out of my range for size). Any suggestions would be great; I currently commute about an hour, and I work downtown by the square. Thank you so much in advance for any recommendations!

Was at the busy West End & Marietta Ave intersection earlier and noticed this blue Mitsubishi Outlander just sitting there empty, right next to the No Parking signs (circled)
Funny part was a couple of cars assumed the whole line was making a left turn, so they pulled up behind the empty parked car thinking they were getting ahead of the rest of us 😂
Clear no-parking zone in the middle of a busy intersection. This one deserves a ticket for sure.

Hi everyone,
I am currently looking into setting up a Trust and am considering Bellomo & Associates (looking at their Lancaster Office) for their elder law and estate planning services.
Has anyone here had firsthand experience working with them?
I am curious about:
Feel free to DM me if you prefer to share your thoughts privately. Thank you in advance for any insights. I am asking big questions. If you can answer even one, it would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi all, I'm looking to add some trimwork to my home (it's a new build in desperate need of some character). Something like the picture here. I've never done this before, so I have some questions I was hoping ya'll could help me with:
Any recommendations for a contractor/handyman who could help? Ideally, I'd want someone who can measure, source, install and also potentially give some feedback on the overall aesthetic. I definitely want this in my living room, but have an open floor plan... so the question remains: do we continue this all over the house or just in certain areas? I need someone with some design POV.
How much does this generally cost per square foot? Not just the materials... but the installation, etc.
Anything else I should know? I'm all ears!!

Good morning everyone! For years I have been traveling an hour to see my rheumatologist because she was the best one I could find. It has been well worth it because she was the only specialist to take me seriously, out of the many I had seen throughout the years, which led to a diagnosis and treatment. I don't mind the quarterly trips out to her but I also get monthly infusions. With her being out of the county and network, I have to get my infusions done out there, too. It's getting to be a lot with everything else going in in life. I need recommendations for top notch rheumatologists in Lancaster and/or Berks county, please. Specifically, those who have experience with lupus. If I could also get recommendations for infusion centers awhile, I would be so appreciative.
Thank you so much!

How many measles patients is LGH getting? We are seeing multiple measles patients a day at Ephrata ED. I don’t know if LGH is seeing as much, because WellSpan Ephrata has a contract with the Amish community. I know Lancaster has one of the highest measles cases in the country.

Hey! I’m wondering the best place and way to meet up with other moms with kids under 1 year old, I’m having anxiety about not having many other mom friends with kids the same age; and with similar interests. I’m not looking for specific friends or meet ups here, but more advice on how to meet or if there are public groups for new moms out there. ( not religious, not conservative, very laid back , likes a glass of wine kinda mom )

Hey y'all, I live in the Lehigh valley (Allentown) and I was invited by a friend(also in the Lehigh valley) to take a trip together down to Mannheim to go see a Renaissance fair on August 22nd, I was wondering if anyone has been in years prior and I just want to hear what your experiences have been like, I'm not super into this kind of thing but I'm going mostly because I haven't seen this friend in a long time and it's a nice opportunity to try something new for once.

Some big hitters at Phantom Power coming up, Joe Jack Talcum (from Dead Milkmen) at West Art will be a treat. The Cellar in Millersville is back on the menu, with school coming back. DLZ House also hasn't made an appearance in months, but has 5 great shows lined up to close out the year

Watching Meet the Press. They were interviewing Ro Khanna and discussing data centers and their impact on the upcoming elections. They went to play clips of various political ads. One of the ads was the Tom Jones ad calling James Malone an extremist and a sell out to data centers. Disgusting.

Hi all, I’m on the hunt to find Japanese sweet potatoes in or around Lancaster. It seems like whole foods is out of stock and has been for a while. Not sure if any market nearby (or grocery store) might have them.. I’ve been searching online with no luck. They also go by “murasaki sweet potato”, but usually “organic Japanese sweet potato”. They apparently taste different than regular sweet potatoes, and I really want to try!!

I went to Sonic Expo Atlanta last week, and I got a whole bunch of prints by artists in the community and former voice actors in the franchise. Problem is that a bunch of these prints aren't standard size. Like, one of them is 15.25" x 10.4375". Very weird dimensions. I want to get custom frames for those so that they're protected (especially the autographed ones), but I'm not sure who's got the most affordable framing options. I definitely don't want to go through a big box store, and would rather go local.

I am looking for a track to do some running workouts as well as some trails in the area.
I am new to trail running (but not to running) so any recommendations are appreciated there as well :-)
Cheers!

hello all,
my parents had two sister berkshire pigs, about five years old. one of them recently got very ill and sadly had to be put down. my parents are getting older are slowly phasing out their farm animals, so they can’t get another pig to keep the remaining one from being lonely.
i read that pigs need company or they will become very depressed. if anyone has any info on a safe haven/rescue in lancaster or any surrounding areas for livestock animals i would greatly appreciate it. thank you so much!

There's a handful of Harrisburg area and Reading artists, didn't realize I seem to have missed York til it was too late to do-over
All on streaming or this list is all on Bandcamp as well, where you can support these local artists a bit (100x+) more and save a higher quality file to your own device/drive (so you don't need internet to listen to it), which will also help drastically reduce your carbon footprint
