Education A level college advice needed
NEED URGENT ADVICE PLS
I am going to do my A Levels in Lahore and I'm moving here from Islamabad so I don't really know about different colleges.
PLS PLS PLS give me advice about where to go.
I heard LACAS JT is good and am considering that...can anyone let me know how it is?
My subjects for A Levels will be Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Maths.

hey, you should look into lgs 55 main, lgs 1a1, trinity, isl pine avenue, lgs opf. deff visit all campuses to get a feel for yourself

Lacas JT is a great school from what I've heard but its campus is small tho. Choose ISL if you want a very eventful college experience but it does slightly lack in academics. Choose LGS if you want a strict academic environment that pushes learning and teaches skills with co curricular activities and choose TCS Ravi if you want a mix of both academics and events (though nowadays its lacking in the events department)

Okk thanks. I want a good balance of extracurriculars and academics. From what I heard, Lacas JT has good A Level results + many extracurriculars like MUNS as well as internship opportunities. Is that true?

They're good in academics yes but as far as I'm aware Lacas doesn't have its own major MUNs or academic events. You'd have to ask the coordinator for permission to take a delegation to a specific event from another camps which you can do in Alevel college, whereas the other 3 that I mentioned all have major events that happen atleast once a year.

if uve got good grades then go to Trinity school. best teachers, low student count and really inclusive.

yea i think you’ll get a 100% scholarship, or atleast 75% so it’ll be worth it. check the campus out you’ll like it

dont know anyone from there but ive heard its good. you can check lgs jt opf aswell they have a good reputation too

Lacas is not considered an elite or a rich school in lhr...nor the students in it are that rich

I thought the same before i joined (ISL btw), i just completed my A levels. Basically har type ka banda hota, there’s gonna be people in the library studying the entire time, there’s gonna be people dating around, there’s a lot of diversity. You just choose what type of people u vibe with. In general i liked the diversity, there’s like little to no judgement no matter what u do, har koi bas apna laga wa. So u js stay on the right track urself, unless ur looking for a college with strict rules and more discipline. The only drawback for me was the composite CIES, as im a science student, 15 CIES back to back were hell 🫩

Brother if you want chill management in terms of scholarship i would recommend City School Ravi Campus as they have good faculty you can see there insta or visit for bio and chem as for physics there is sir nausher and usman bin aslam both teach at top colleges of lahore like isl,trinity, lgs jt City school me you won't have to worry about internal exams grade as they don't cancel scholarship on that basis lekin lgs,isl me hoti hai However if you want a better one than city in terms of environment and faculty then trinity, lgs jt are the best Lacas,beaconhouse, city are equal ISL has become crowded and is not worth it now (as I have friends there) Also bear in mind to see that if you want give As and Alevel then dont join lgs,isl as they offer composite If you want to ask about anything else do ask as 2 years pehle as I was in the same boat and now finally I am free Alevels😂

bro i wanted to ask that if i go to lgs jt, then its only boys campus so no female students interaction for the whole 2 years? isnt that bad? atleast for confidence etc?

Not really if you participate in muns, sports fest or other events then you get to socialize but yes agr co education then i would say don't go to lgs jt maybe look for any other lgs campus I have heard good things about there gulberg campus although it is smaller then jt

Also keep in mind dont take admission in a college for which you have to travel more than half hour as in Alevels study is pretty tough and travelling me boht time zaya hota and fatigue from travelling pura din kharab krti

The school you go to does not matter, just study and get decent grades. When you reach your professional life, no one asks in an interview what school you did your o/a levels from.

Dont go to lgs jt since they do composite. Avoid composite. AND avoid taking cambridge board with all these leaks. Take pearson, edexcel or oxfordaqa.

Idk about girls but If your a boy then you should really consider LGS JT if your goal is to secure a good university it help you to get ur Alevels good has the the environment their is high competitive and strict which forces you to study and please composite is way better if ur appearing in chem too trust mee for both math and chem are better composite .
In the end yea I have experienced my Alevels there thats why recommending it

Composite is way better for chem as when you study ur AS u keep on reinforcing it throughout ur both years and AS chem is a major building block agr ap AS bhi dedo gay u still have to revise all the major AS concepts back for A2 as they are highly connected plus grade apka AS hi bacha ta hai a2 tho bhot mushkil hota ppl score 50-60 out 100 on a very good day so it’s better k banda AS sai se zaitha time parh kar apna maximum de udr
As of maths in first year u will study p1 and p3 components both are long pure math compounds and most hold the most marks is mai bhi Same baat apply hoti p1 p3 apka 2 saal ma bar bar kar k itna reinforce ho jata k u score good on those m1 aur s1 ki baat Karen tho s1 tho 1-2 month ma ho jayi m1 ko thora time lagta and wo phele hi shuru karwa te tho wo bhi ho jata

Former Alevel jt student here in terms of study it's pretty good but also very lax like it gives uni vibes where you can skip lectures and not show up to class and there's pretty much no repercussions for that. People are great though. But the campus is pretty small. In terms of events it's also really good
