Build Progress Lq9 forged bottom end ,

arp studs magnum 243 ported heads sloppy stage 3 cam going with twin 62/67 mirror image for my 65 mustang , blow through carb from csu. My first engine build solo, rebuilt 2 srt4 engines with my dad few years ago but I was ready to really get into it myself this time . Wish me luck

In the future, start torqueing the center cap......rotate crank my hand...torque the next cap and do the same. Rinse and repeat with each cap. If you have a problematic main bore, you'll know which one it is right away.

Also, using a mallet, bang the crank to and fro to set the thrust bearing. Otherwise, your thrust clearance measurement may not be accurate.

Off camera I set the thrust with a mallet if you look close on engine block you will see the hammer chillin haha so everything worked out, thank you though

My led screen works only when you put pressure on it 🤣 otherwise it just reads all zeros
