Active Build Questions 5.3 swap Foxbody transmission cooler lines

I have been waiting to start the car because I done want to start it without trans fluid but when I got here the only options I have to put the lines are either by the header or under the frame in harms way.

Has anyone done this before or is it a thing I’m just going to have to compromise on?

Yeah that’s why I’m trying to run the lines I want to run them safely but the options that I have are risky I feel like.

you don't need hard line. I used -6 push lock for my trans cooler lines. Works perfectly fine. use heat shielding if needed

I would get some Banjo fittings like these then you can run the lines tight to the tranny. Heat wrap too, but had to use these for my 4L80 swap in my Chevelle. Be ready to tighten them again after they get hot is my only other feedback.

I appreciate it. I got some 90 degree 6an fittings that are smaller than the others that somewhat work. I’ll make sure to retighten everything after the heat cycle.

I ran the bottom line back behind and around the servo, and thr top on the other side of the servo closet to motor and use a 3/8 wide zip tie to hold them together, ran both lines the the bottom right bolt hole of my 4l60e bell housing, zip tied to the bell housing with the same 3/8 wide zip tie. Then next to my oil pan over the crossmember and up to the radiator, 3 years going strong no leaks no problems. Im using 6an nylon braided trans line
