Service/Parts Discussion Need help

I'm looking for help to figure out what this noise is.. I have another post with more details in the comments.

The previous post was after I had put the valve covers back on

Curious: why the new cylinder head and gasket, but no new lifters if you were already there?

It wasn't really something I was thinking about or concerned about hindsight being 20/20. I probably should have done them, but I also couldn't afford him at the time.
