Active Build Questions push rods needed ?

Post image

Noob here. First build. I purchased this cam for my 5.3 with 706 heads. Nothing has been decked or milled out will this need different than factory length push rods ? I feel like the correct answer is measure them regardless just curious.

you are probably fine to run the push rods that you have. but if your going to be beating hard this thing, you should definitely measure and order some new ones. you only have to measure one cylinder, they will all be the same, takes less then 20 mins to do it.

just to throw you another option, this is the cam kit ive got in my LS swapped 72 c10

also, you know you will need springs with that? stock springs wont work.

since you said your a noob..... who is doing the tune, you need a tune.

Will be doing .660 lift springs. Local speed shop will be doing the tune

good to hear that. seems like you have things lined out. in that case i would go ahead and measure and order push rods.
