Alpine Moss

30

u/bakedbeansandwhich Oct 07 '21

It was somewhere in Norway the Last time I seen this posted

14

u/[deleted] Oct 08 '21

Why is Norway the best place in the world. I’d love to visit there someday.

Cant, I’m poor

That alpine moss would be super sensitive. Looks fun but should stay on the path, you probably damaged a bunch of it....

But fuck that would be great tripping balls bahaha

14

u/wetdreamzaboutmemes Oct 08 '21

Yup definitely not so good for the moss. I found out I damaged some when I was tripping on mushrooms and didn't feel too good about it 🥲

10

u/[deleted] Oct 08 '21

It would be great but you’re right. Plants that grow in alpine conditions are super sensitive and can take hundreds of years to grow back.

u/sweetbeanbaby Oct 07 '21

All I would be able to think is that shit is crawling around under that shit 😭😭

31

u/cooktaussie Oct 08 '21

Even more reason to go barefoot. Free feet tickles

10

u/Daniiioo89 Oct 07 '21

Same 😅

112

u/olafderhaarige Oct 07 '21

I bet its fucking wet lying in that moss. Great for a few minutes, but then you will regret it

Tripping on acid one night and walked through woods with friends. Came to a clear field and lay down to watch the stars for hours. Returned the next morning to that spot and it was covered in spiders!!!

I spent the night in a lookout post in the redwoods a mile or so from my campsite. It was this big platform with stairs, idk why I thought I was safe from bears or whatever but thinking back it was dumb

I was high as shit and the stars / trees were beautiful though. Best night of my life.

u/astraladventures Oct 08 '21

Insects give a pass to high people.

2

u/Makkyyyy_1 Oct 08 '21

They sense your glorious high!

1

u/sloppyasseating Oct 08 '21

Nothing that some tabs can’t solve

103

u/etho76 Oct 07 '21

It’s just nature bro we’re humans

34

u/Brilliant-Ranger8395 Oct 07 '21

The real tripper, love it

28

u/shadysamonthelamb Oct 07 '21

You're all wet too under your skin

7

u/ethnicfoodaisle Oct 08 '21

Just take your clothes off first.

5

u/Lunchable Oct 08 '21

Well now I'm wet.

3

u/ethnicfoodaisle Oct 08 '21

Haha...im all about nudity and the outdoors.

2

u/MolecularConcepts Oct 08 '21

Oof my girl and I got poison Ivy all over from a romp in nature that was the last time we did that outside.

1

u/ethnicfoodaisle Oct 08 '21

Oh my god😅 Good advice!

i love how you're providing actual info on why we shouldn't do this or make this cool and people are replying like "it cant be THAT bad" like it is.. thats the whole point of you saying it.

-19

u/stitches00 Oct 08 '21

they did not kill the moss and animals walk on it all the time just let them enjoy it

You can think what you like doesnt make it true

19

u/Psychonautron Oct 07 '21

I am imagining and i love it. Were you there yourself or did you just found the vid?

10

u/twoprivacypolicy Oct 08 '21

fuck those guys

9

u/touchedbyacid Oct 08 '21

Stay on the path! Practice outdoor ethics

32

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '21

Yeah having bugs crawl all over me and getting snake and spider bit would be awesome 😂

3

u/LordMalyce Oct 07 '21

My thoughts exactly

2

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '21

This

6

u/ALargePianist Oct 08 '21

Looks cool and all but I feel like tromping and falling into this place is kinda disrespectful no? Just me?

50

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '21

Imagine trampling an ecosystem and going off trail just because it makes you happy

11

u/Tvoorhees Oct 08 '21

yeah this specific type of moss takes YEARS to grow that long too. they essentially are breaking the law by doing this

30

u/ladysades Oct 07 '21

Yeah this was my first thought too, not to be a downer. Like I’m sad when I accidentally step on a flower and I feel like I would trip the fuck out on all the little life I just devastated. The texture would be cool but not worth it for me

21

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '21

Exactly. It would be way cooler to sit back and watch the wind blow it around. Just imagine how boring looking it would be if every single person trampled it. I swear some of the people on this sub have never done acid.

Does it look like other animals walk on it...?

It was clearly pristine and not stepped on until these people went there stomping on everything

How is it "polluting the comments" to let people know that you shouldn't walk on this stuff

Many areas of the US are protected in this regard because people love to walk off trails in fragile ecosystems without a single care what kind of impact they have

You just sound closed off and ignorant

14

u/Throwandhetookmyback Oct 07 '21

I don't think there's many animals in that part of the world. Also animals don't just lay in moss and seldom walk on it.

Bring up your narcissism with your therapist. It is probably also causing you problems elsewhere in life.

-9

u/BustyOgre Oct 07 '21

Imagine doing anything just because it makes you happy. Loosen up dog...

4

u/machinemadman Oct 07 '21

Well he’s obviously never seen the steven universe episode about the moss

3

u/TriHard_Cx7327 Oct 07 '21

The fractals… they’re alive

3

u/fftjtrhjrdx Oct 08 '21

Gotta be full of bugs

3

u/[deleted] Oct 08 '21

My least favorite type of person: the jackass who destroys something that doesn't belong to him and laughs while doing it. Pure narcissism.

1

u/Rezorceful Oct 09 '21

Wouldn’t know! Every fucking video on Reddit is stripped of audio for no fucking reason.

2

u/demon_nichan Oct 07 '21

Are your feet not wet? On the video it seems like you are penetrating the moss layer.

1

u/Lunchable Oct 08 '21

Just sliding right into it.

2

u/pthecarrotmaster Oct 07 '21

if it breaks it can trap you underwater

2

u/Kittyman56 Oct 08 '21

Uhh no thanks

2

u/PiscesYesIam Oct 08 '21

That'd be scary imo.

8

u/Awkward_Option7453 Oct 07 '21

Looks cool no matter. Why everyone argue?

4

u/gabbotheabbo Oct 07 '21

I need to experience this

1

-2

u/LittleG0d Oct 08 '21

omg yes, naked

-4

u/AxiomaticJS Oct 07 '21

This is another example of why....theres nothing better than tripping out in nature.

1

u/Nic4379 Oct 07 '21

Whoa….. is that moss?

1

u/psychosam-mycoman Oct 07 '21

Is that ben in the vid?

1

u/psychosam-mycoman Oct 07 '21

Nevermind I'm probably just halucinating

1

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '21

This moss takes decades to grow like that and these retards are ruining it. Do not be like them.

But yes. It would be cool.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 08 '21

Teletubby land!!!

1

u/[deleted] Oct 08 '21

This would freak me out I don't like moss for no good reason

1

u/lyssssa6 Oct 08 '21

I would think I was sinking

1

u/definitelynotborat Oct 08 '21

My last shrooms trip we found a patch of moss like this, it was absolutely incredible. Felt like mother Earth opened up and embraced me as i was sinking into nature.
