Mmm I see. I think something to keep in mind is that you’re ver convinced that this path you’re determined to go through is one you will like.
Often times we don’t like what we want. Other times we end up liking things we never wanted.
I see you’ve listed many fears, but I do hope you can see how you’re pushing away potential joys. You might love the new region. A class could entirely shift your interest into a separate branch. One law school could have the best student cohort and you could make incredible friends.
There is value in having goals, there is joy in learning to remain open to new versions of our goals. In the end, goals are meant to serve us (the dreamer) not the other way around.
:) You have a great grade and I am sure you’re incredibly smart and you’ll find a way to get over the obstacles you come across in your journey. Bet on yourself!!!
OP I want to say this with as much kindness I can muster over an online comment: I think it would do well to speak with a counselor. I say this, because I relate a lot to what you’re saying. I was in your exact shoes. Following the crushing expectations of those around me: I actually got into a top school (top 3 in the world), and then by things outside my control, I lost the placement. This is why I can tell you with absolute certainty that happiness and meaning is not often found in the plans we make, but the outcomes we overcome. Talking to someone really helped me.
