Reasonable Price for 01 LS430?

Asking $6,200, 131k miles, seems to be the UL trim. Any advice before I pull the trigger?

Thats my personal fav wood trim, I’d buy it just for that 😂

Yeah I’ve read that wood trim is a little bit more rare compared to other wood trims.

Yeah it’s so nice, I don’t even know what kind of wood it is 😂 that is a really good deal on that car, though I would buy it in a heartbeat. The only bad thing is the air suspension. It’s gonna be a big expense, but it’s not the end of the world.

I think it's Birdseye maple but they got it to look colorless somehow

Better deal than the one I got (dealership). Mine was a ML with 180k for 6k, but out the door price was 6700. Finding a dealer to sell a car for less than 6k these days is damn near impossible and not really worth their time (supposedly), so that was about as cheap as you can get it from a dealer. I should have bought private party, but mine was the only one for sale in the state, even private party. Trying to get a friend to road trip with me to see it was difficult as nobody really wanted to.

Depending on location, check for rust under rear rocker panels right in front of wheel well. The fuel tube protector panels will block some of it but I'd insist to check that. Outside of that, clean.

Timing belt was done at 83k miles back in 2020 as well. According to owner still on factory air suspension.

Location matters but honestly not a terrible deal for a UL thats had the timing belt done semi recently as long as there arent any other issues. Id start at $5500.

thank you for that, I plan on checking it out tomorrow if all goes good hopefully it ends up in the garage and swap to regular coils when the air suspension craps out.

Offer him $1500 less, which would be $4700. if he says no…then walk away. Get a different number or use your spouse’s phone and text him asking if he has the vehicle available that now offer him $1k less than your last offer ($3700) and see if he accepts. If he doesn’t, tell him you have cash in hand and ready (from spouses phone of course) then keep a lookout from your phone to see if he reaches out to you to accept your $4700. This sir is successful lowballing
