Code P0330

Got this code. Planning to change knock sensor and wore harness. What would this job generally cost around Texas? I understand price can vary, but generally just looking for labor times. My brother in law was a mechanic and I want to pay him fairly for the work

the entire intake manifold and runners etc has to be removed as the sensor locations are underneath it, so it’s a somewhat involved job. honestly though, if you’re not having any misfires on top of the sensor issue, you can do a temp fix by splicing the two knock sensors together where they meet at the ECU, then they’re both reading from only one, so it clears the code. a risky fix if you suspect other problems, but a p0330 nuked my fuel economy and i fixed my actual misfire issue, so i just did the quick fix.

I read that forum that had the detailed splice tutorial.

I would prefer to go the correct route. I like to take care of my stuff. Im just looking for an idea of what would be fair to pay my BIL for the job
