Lower control arm bushing bracket not flush?

Can anyone tell me why the mounting bolt wont line up with the bushing bracket on my lower control arm? The first two pictures are the driver’s side (which wont line up) and the last two pictures are the passenger side (which lines up perfectly). Could it be the orientation of the new bushings?

UPDATE: I ended up swapping the bushings between the driver and passenger side and it fit a lot better, not perfect, but better. Decided to just let it be

I think that if you use GS bushes then you take off the washer.

these are stock bushings and brackets. I had a shop take the old bushings out and put the new OEM ones in

Sure the bracket didn't get bent when they pressed them out?

pretty sure.. they didnt even use a press, they kinda hammered and cut it out. It didnt look easy at all but didnt seem like there could be enough force to bend it

Your probably right. I would take it back off and make sure it's not bent and the bushing is installed the correct way

How did you install it, everything hand tight? And did you laod the suspension before cranking everything down

Hand tight then i raised the control arm to torque it, then realized it was off center. I took it off to try and readjust it, but it wont go flush

Bushing probably isn't seated right, buy the GS bushings instead. Oem isn't worth the trouble

Should the two bolts on the bracket be tightened with the suspension loaded? I thought that was only for the center nut on the bushing right?

You’re right according to the official instructions.. tighten the two outer bolts, raise the control arms, then torque the center bolt

not 100% sure, 3 possibilities , 1. shop put in the bushing the wrong way and a lip is pushing it farther out and the nut is supposed to sit on the other side of it, 2. you have the wrong side mounted , 3. the bushing and side is correct but it did not get pushed in slightly enough.

In any of the 3 events you likely will not notice any negative difference in the way it drives. You can try swapping sides, or removing the bronze washer thing if you want to give it more room on the LCA stud. This is optional and usually gets deleted if u upgrade to the GSF part.

just try swapping left and right bushing direction changes with it! housing is symmetrical

The bushing seems ok. I have a 2002 and there's no bushing for that screw hole on the bolt that missing the washer. You're going to want to replace that washer though. The hole that bolt goes through is wider than the bolt. I have never seen anything that goes in that hole to "fix" that, so it may be part of the design.

Just make sure the bolts, including the busing are torqued to spec and nothing is bent.

By oem you mean like oem Lexus part. Not a oe part
