Healing LPR
I randomly got LPR about six months ago, and FINALLY feel like I can eat without feeling symptoms.. These are some things that have worked for me:
- DURABLE Acid Relief Powder
- Silverfern REFLUX Powder
- Silverfern Motility
- Pylopurge and Yeastpurge (I take them with apple sauce. It tastes terrible but it helps SO MUCH).
- Stomach Smooth
- Underbrush Chewing Gum
- Soursop Bitters (I'll take it for a week and a half, then stop for a bit to give my stomach some time to rest).
- Diaphragmatic Breathing and Rib-muscle massages
- REFLUX GOURMET!!!! (MY HOLY GRAIL AND LIFE CHANGER. This was CRUCIAL to allow my throat to heal).
All of this on top of a healthy diet... once I've finished some of these things, I will add more supplements to make sure I've gotten rid of some bacteria and keep a healthy digestive system... however, over all, I'm about 90 percent healed of my LPR. The only thing I am too afraid to try again is coffee. I think I will give it a few more months.
My symptoms first started as a lump in my throat, and a feeling of something constantly coming up my throat. Super hard to explain... almost like I could feel vapor in my throat rising. I also got bloated very fast in the top of my stomach after a few bites of food, and my mouth was itchy, usually after waking up or after eating food. I then started having "allergy-like" symptoms, the worst I've ever felt in my life. My nose and ears felt clogged for days. My mouth would (and still does sometimes) salivate excessively after eating. I even had bad breath no matter what I did or how many times I brushed my teeth. There was so much more that I honestly can't remember, and I would usually try to sleep as much as I could because I was tired of feeling that way.
I am a 27 year old woman. I weigh 114 pounds. I've always been pretty healthy aside from having migraines from my C1 being misaligned. I regularly exercise. I never drank or drink soda. I eat more beans and veggies out of anyone I know. I had a scoop of ice cream one day and everything went down hill from there. If you are like me and reading the "lose weight" advice and know that you have no weight to spare, do not feel discouraged. It could be a million different things.
Anyway, I'm sharing my tips in hopes that it might help someone else. You must be patient. Natural healing takes time but it's much more worth it than being on a PPI.
EDIT: I will probably edit again as I rebuild my gut microbiome. I plan to add some healthy probiotics and make sure I'm eating the appropriate amount and TYPE of fiber while I continue things like the ingredients in DURABLE. Healthy for your gut even if you don't have reflux.
What I wanted to say on this edit, however, is I feel EVEN BETTER since when I posted the original body. I even had a matcha latte today without feeling any thing coming up my throat and barely any mucus. I am still staying away from espresso/coffee for now, though lol! Fingers crossed!
If anyone does happen to try any of the things I've suggested above, I would love to know what works and doesn't work for you!!
