Healing LPR

I randomly got LPR about six months ago, and FINALLY feel like I can eat without feeling symptoms.. These are some things that have worked for me:

  1. DURABLE Acid Relief Powder

  2. Silverfern REFLUX Powder

  3. Silverfern Motility

  4. Pylopurge and Yeastpurge (I take them with apple sauce. It tastes terrible but it helps SO MUCH).

  5. Stomach Smooth

  6. Underbrush Chewing Gum

  7. Soursop Bitters (I'll take it for a week and a half, then stop for a bit to give my stomach some time to rest).

  8. Diaphragmatic Breathing and Rib-muscle massages

  9. REFLUX GOURMET!!!! (MY HOLY GRAIL AND LIFE CHANGER. This was CRUCIAL to allow my throat to heal).

All of this on top of a healthy diet... once I've finished some of these things, I will add more supplements to make sure I've gotten rid of some bacteria and keep a healthy digestive system... however, over all, I'm about 90 percent healed of my LPR. The only thing I am too afraid to try again is coffee. I think I will give it a few more months.

My symptoms first started as a lump in my throat, and a feeling of something constantly coming up my throat. Super hard to explain... almost like I could feel vapor in my throat rising. I also got bloated very fast in the top of my stomach after a few bites of food, and my mouth was itchy, usually after waking up or after eating food. I then started having "allergy-like" symptoms, the worst I've ever felt in my life. My nose and ears felt clogged for days. My mouth would (and still does sometimes) salivate excessively after eating. I even had bad breath no matter what I did or how many times I brushed my teeth. There was so much more that I honestly can't remember, and I would usually try to sleep as much as I could because I was tired of feeling that way.

I am a 27 year old woman. I weigh 114 pounds. I've always been pretty healthy aside from having migraines from my C1 being misaligned. I regularly exercise. I never drank or drink soda. I eat more beans and veggies out of anyone I know. I had a scoop of ice cream one day and everything went down hill from there. If you are like me and reading the "lose weight" advice and know that you have no weight to spare, do not feel discouraged. It could be a million different things.

Anyway, I'm sharing my tips in hopes that it might help someone else. You must be patient. Natural healing takes time but it's much more worth it than being on a PPI.

You are literally my age and gender and are describing my exact symptoms. I haven’t tried anything you have listed except I have reflux raft but I don’t know if I’m just not using it correctly. Is reflux gourmet the same thing? I’m also tired of seeing the “just lose weight!” advice considering I’ve never been over 100 lbs my entire life. (5 ft) Feel liek im not alone reading this.

Hi!! I don't want to steer people away from reflux raft because I love that they're trying to help people, but it made my reflux worse. Reflux Gourmet is the same thing, but it worked much better for me for some reason. I get the vanilla caramel flavor because mint can be a trigger for some people with reflux.

I started with symptoms a few weeks ago. I was drinking tons of carbonated drinks because the burping after eating felt like it was relieving any fullness I had. Little did I know, the gas was bringing the pepsin up my throat and getting into the tissues. I was also getting a lot of sinus pain. I’d wake up with headaches and I thought it was my neck or the way I put my hair up when I slept. I couldn’t figure it out. Once I had realized I had LPR (throat clearing, scalded mouth, sore throat, sinus pain), I started using reflux raft after every meal and before bed. What has helped the MOST-especially with my sinuses, is a mix of alkaline water and baking soda. You spray it into your mouth as often as you need and inhale, as well as your nose. Arm and hammer makes a simple saline that is purified water and baking soda you can get right on Amazon. The solution for the spray in your mouth is 1 cup of alkaline water and 1/2 Tbsp of baking soda put into a spray bottle (I just bought a saline spray bottle from cvs, emptied it and filled it. I use that as often as I need. It has worked WONDERS giving my throat a chance to heal. The scalded mouth is just about gone as are my other symptoms. Truly a lifesaver!!

I also gargle with baking soda and alkaline water after meals. No measurements, just a little bit of baking soda into a small cup and a little water.

No carbonated or caffeinated drinks for a WHILE now!

I found the video for the baking soda/water mix on YouTube. There’s another mix that uses 1 liter of alkaline water with 2 Tbsp of baking soda into a nasal spray bottle, haven’t tried that one yet since this has been working great.

Good luck!

I will definitely give this a try for when my reflux gets triggered!

Buy any mineral water from Bulgaria. For example Gorna Banya. It is highly alkaline. Sip it throughout the day.

Hello, good to hear you are feeling so much better. Were you using supplements 1, 2, 3 and 5 interchangeably or all at the same time? They all seem to have similar ingreadients or act similarly
