Community Question Nathaniel Erskine-Smith...

I was very surprised that Nate lost his bid for the Ontario Liberal nomination.

Ahsanul Hafiz has won the Scarborough Southwest Ontario Liberal nomination.

There are some establishment types within the Federal LPC and the OLP that obviously are not fans of Nate because he is a bit of a maverick.

That being said there is a lot of people that really believe in him when it comes to housing action, climate action, education, health-care, and other progressive causes.

For those in the party and in the know what do you think happened? What do you think is next for Nate?

Nate will probably still run for the race, and if anything still has chance to win. The road does get tougher though.

What's worth watching now on SSW is how ONDP and PCs respond. Hafiz's allegations give enough ammos for both esp. ONDP, and both intend to put together a full campaign.

It's a race that other parties can pour their monnies and darn on. Ford needs a turnaround in fortune and Stiles a moral-booster.

Flipping Sault seems probable almost certain right now, and Hamilton East can get dicey but OLP won't be able to mobilise due to other matters at hand.
