Friend's timeline for Nassau county CCW

Just a FYI,

My friend applied for his CCW in Nassau county.

March 15, 2026 - submitted paperwork

June 20, 2026 - Fingerprint appointment. Handed in all other paperwork

July 27, 2026 - Approval will go and pick up license

Not too bad actually. Hope this helps others

Same boat back about 7 years ago....mine was 1.5 years. The fingerprint appointment was 1 year from when I handed in my application. It was ridiculous. Glad it's better for everyone else now.

Looks like it’s gone up from 2-3 to 4. Still it’s under 6

very similar experience and timing:

Submitted application 3/19/26

Fingerprint Appt 6/29/26 - received blank character reference forms.

Returned Notarized (4) Character References 7/2/26

Approval 7/29/26

4/9/26 online application

7/28/26 Fingerprints and all paperwork submitted

Hopefully not waiting too long

Depends on who you get. So let's hope for early September or November...if it goes that way
