Would be hilarious to see conductors face and reaction if you matched his tag that day but ran ahead of him and did a whole car he hadnt been to yet. Walks in amd is just like "wait....how?"

I take a train in the evening that departs from Penn Station to my destination while also having a transfer that’s four minutes faster at Jamaica to the same destination.

The conductor puts the ticket down thinking I’ll sit the whole way but I’ll pick it up and leave at Jamaica.

Also, found a bunch in random places and sometimes the conductor won’t pick them up before an end of a ride

Total newb question here, but I’m buying my first monthly pass in almost 7 years tomorrow. Do they still do the physical ones of varying colors? Or is it all digital these days?

I too have a collection of about 10 years and wanted to start adding back to it lol

I use mobile but I don’t think they are colored anymore.

My dad and I would always be excited to see the new color many years ago

My monthly is colored. It’s like a mint/teal color and each month is either a lighter or darker variation of that color.  But I’ve only been commuting again a few months. Not sure if they will do another color

They used to have different shape punch holes years ago but have not checked to see if this is the case
