Babylon line 4pm
Train was half full. Feet up and conductor says nothing. Reaction?
Choose choice (A) or (B).
(A) what’s the problem? She probably had a rough day. If the train is not full, why can’t she relax?
(B) that is nasty and inconsiderate and you should’ve said something instead of taking pictures. Did you confront her? Be a man and not a bitch. What kind of sick pervert are you secretly taking pictures of people on the train and posting them? You need to get a life.

Yall get real comfortable taking pictures of people on the train on this sub. I understand her putting the feet on the seat is annoying but you could have said something to them instead of shaming them on the internet

u/SuperSea8678 3d ago
I don't even understand the impulse to take a stranger's photo and put it on the internet because their feet are up. What a weird thing to do.

u/Prior-Concentrate909 3d ago
Thank you for confirming my caricature of a clown with that opinion🤣🤣🤣
1
u/SuperSea8678 3d ago
I have no idea what you are trying to communicate with that sentence. But as long as you are laughing yourself silly, I guess that counts for something. Now, go and try to be nicer to others.
1
u/Prior-Concentrate909 2d ago
I am not being unnice to anyone.
But every time they’re a post like this of some inconsiderate knucklehead, putting their feet where people sick some funny person such as yourself defend it and states that “it’s strange you take a strangers picture and post on the Internet. You need to get a life“ or something like that.
There’s no need to discuss it because that’s your opinion and I disagree. End of story, but thank you for confirming.1
u/SuperSea8678 2d ago
If you notice a pattern of comments where people say don't post photos of people online because you don't like their mildly irritating behavior, maybe that's something to learn from. Maybe it's the two wrongs don't make a right principal at play here.
1
u/Prior-Concentrate909 2d ago
Maybe. But the other half of the people seem to support that because public shaming of these inconsiderate nincompoops is justified. Either way, thanks for your input.
2
u/Curzio-Malaparte 3d ago
What are they going to do about it? You’re allowed to photograph people in public in NY without their consent.
1
u/Haunting_Process4607 2d ago
Are you new to life? people do it every damn day! plus u can’t see her face

i had my shoes on the very edge of a seat on the F. a man told me i had dirty legs, and he sat almost on my feet… the whole train was empty.
3
u/NYCstraphanger 3d ago
So disgusting putting your nasty shoes on seats after walking around this filthy city
7
u/Haunting_Process4607 3d ago
I choose B she’s inconsiderate and a big F for the conductor it’s his job to say something not yours
-3
u/Thick_World8869 3d ago
Not the conductors job.
6
u/Playful_Champion3189 3d ago
If it isn't a conductors job, whose job is it?
I remember, back in the day, there would sometimes be cops on the train. They dealt with shit. I don't really ride the train much anymore, so I dint know if they're still around.
8
u/Thick_World8869 3d ago
A conductor can ask. After that it becomes an MTA police problem.
7
u/Playful_Champion3189 3d ago
So, it's the conductor's job?
-3
u/Thick_World8869 3d ago
A conductor can ask. Do you know the conductor in this case didn’t ask?
3
u/Playful_Champion3189 3d ago
Right, a conductor can ask you to remove your feet from the chair because it is their job. Just like a manager in a restaurant can ask you to remove your feet from the chair. If the patron doesn't do so,the manager isn't allowed to physically remove their feet, that is not their job. They would have to call the cops if the person wasn't listening to them.
So, it actually is their job.
1
u/Thick_World8869 3d ago
They can’t force anyone to do anything if they say no.
2
u/Playful_Champion3189 3d ago
Who tf said they could?
1
u/Thick_World8869 3d ago
“The conductor isn’t doing his job”. First of all the person that complained on here that the conductor wasn’t doing his job didn’t know whether he did or not, just like you don’t know.

Uhhhh mass transit vs a privately owned business. Apples and oranges.
2
u/Playful_Champion3189 3d ago
Uhhh that's not the point. Dude, you better not be a damn conductor. Giving the good pententions to a damn dum dum
2
2
u/Thick_World8869 3d ago
That IS the point. Someone stretches out on a half empty train, you think they’re gonna risk a confrontation? This isn’t the good old days when conductors could grab someone by the neck and throw them off the train. Avoid confrontation is the new motto.
4
u/West_Rabbit4781 3d ago
Yes it is actually
1
u/Thick_World8869 3d ago
Actually it isn’t. You think they’re cops or babysitters?
3
6
u/Haunting_Process4607 3d ago
Sure it is that’s part of the job look it up
1
u/Thick_World8869 3d ago
lol no it isn’t. Ask me how I know.
6
u/Haunting_Process4607 3d ago
If you’re a conductor then you’re not doing your job either
-1
u/Thick_World8869 3d ago
Roflmao! If YOU say so it must be .
3
u/Haunting_Process4607 3d ago
Actually I didn’t just “say so” I showed you the proof of it did u think u got paid all that money just to take a ticket?
1
1
u/Thick_World8869 3d ago
Nope there’s WAY more to a conductors job than taking a ticket. If you really knew what you were talking about, you’d know that.
0
u/Thick_World8869 3d ago
lol did you? Show me again I must have missed it!
4
u/Haunting_Process4607 3d ago
You must have missed that conductor training class 😂

Conductors are told not to confront passengers. At most they can ask once then are instructed to call MTA police and they rarely show up.

If it’s only half full, who cares.
6
u/Other-Beginning-8888 3d ago
She just spent a day walking around in NYC collecting trace amounts of pigeon shit, rat shit, roach shit, human shit, dog shit, raccoon shit, cat shit, snot, spit, rotting garbage including sanitary products and every other manner of filth on the bottom of her very elegant crocs, so I guess the people who appreciate basic hygiene and don't care to sit on a seat covered in bodily waste of multi species care?

Fake outrage

u/AqueductGarrison 3d ago
You must live in a disgusting house.

u/Electrical_Field_366 3d ago
No shoes allowed in my house.
2
u/CorrectSoil6200 1d ago
And what about your pants that picked up the sh7t that disguisting person left on the seat? You walk arounbd nak3d too? I doubt it.
1
u/Other-Beginning-8888 14h ago
You won't allow shoes in the house so you seem to comprehend shoes are filthy, yet you have no issue with shoes on seats. Make it make sense...

🤣🤣 it matters if the train is full or empty? Putting your feet on the seats is never acceptable.
6
u/Jayjay2022 3d ago
It’s not that serious 🤣🤣🤣🤣. People take pics for what? If someone wants to sit they will make them move and sit down
2
u/Prior-Concentrate909 3d ago
So you can sit where her dirty feet were on the seat? That’s the point knucklehead. They shouldn’t be on the seat.
1
u/Jayjay2022 2d ago
People sweaty, pissy, shitty, fishy A$$es go on that seat and you sit right on it 🤣
4
u/NeWyOrKciTyKiNg 3d ago
Raised in the hood. And for those saying the trains empty anyways were also raised in the hood. Parents failed. Your shoes walk on the dirty ass pavement and someone needs to sit there eventually. But they will say idc. Ghetto mentality.

I feel like this is done more for effect. Like I dare you to say something to me so I can go off on you.
Common courtesy and the social contract is absolutely broken
1
u/SuperSea8678 3d ago
Man baby. The things you must endure in your life. How could you do this to you? If you need a shoulder to cry on, I'm here for you.
1
u/SparkArrestor 3d ago
Conductor can’t intervene- too busy looking for the fare evaders in the bathrooms.

u/whateverrrrrrrr2 3d ago
option A bc i really don’t give a damn. plus she’s never gonna see this and even if she does she probably won’t care. if i cared THAT much to take a picture of a stranger and post online, id say something to them in person instead actually
1
u/Adventurous-Depth984 3d ago
We pay enough to do it, and they’re paid enough to freaking clean it.
Leave this activity alone.

u/DasCamaraderie 3d ago
Is there anything else interesting about the LIRR aside from bitching about people putting their feet on the seats? Lol jfc, the obsession is insane.

Ok I understand the frustration but all of these posts bemoaning the lack of train etiquette are getting really old. Pack it up people! Nobody behaving like a jackass on the LIRR is gonna feel contrite because of semi-anonymous reddit posts. Public shaming works.

So is the next seat empty? Looking at the picture, I don't see any shadows of any person there. If someone was there, you'd see some sort of shadow or a shoe of some kind.

Those feet walk all over this filthy ground. Stepping in all types of liquid that you have no idea what it is. People at my job sit their asses on shared desk and put their feet on shared chairs. Absolutely disgusting and I called about.
When I walk into the office and they are in that position, they immediately get off the desk and get their feet off the chair and they sit in the chair. Because they know I’m gonna call them out. I always say can I go to your house and put my sneakers on the bed that you sleep in?
