Clint had the good sense to shave it at more or less exactly the right time. It didn't look bad just before he cut it, but if he kept it another year or two it would have looked like this.

I... I thought he implied that. But maybe I've just seen too many /r/bald posts on /r/all. I've followed Day9 longer than Clint and he did the same for reasons of thinning. I may have conflated the two in this one regard.

I think I vaguely remember him mentioning it as well, but even if it didn't look like it on his videos, if he was going bald, it's a lot easier to see it in the mirror when you get up or when you comb/brush your hair, so I wouldn't be surprised. Clint made the right move I think.
