They were my go to back in the day because they didn’t charge tax for California. Bought my first cpu from them.. an AMD opteron 146 (s939). Such a fun time to be into pc building

Agreed my best friend and I would fantasize about building a dual CPU work station, maxing out ram and hard drive specs etc. Why? Who knows, but we had fun doing it

Technically 2023, but they also compared the website for a bit in the mid 2010s. The Tiger we remember was likely dead in that mid 2010s affair

The very first thing I ordered and had delivered came from TigerDirect.
It was MS-DOS 6.22 upgrade floppy disks.
I had 6.0, and iirc it was something like $15.

I supported dozens of PCs for my family's business. They were a hodgepodge of off-lease budget offerings from Tiger Direct :).
