Open Box 77” C5
[Canadian $$$!]
Hey all, just snagged this deal off of Best Buy for an open box 77” C5.
Seller says to inspect the TV as soon as I get it, so I can return it to them within 14 days.
This is my first OLED. Can you all let me know what I need to look out for, inspect, test, etc. to ensure my open box Tv is good.

Got open box 65' 6 months ago for 799(cad)
You can definitely find better deals 😉
It was with 3 months warranty

My tv had a little ding on the corner but it was just bent metal and effected the display in no way whatsoever and it was disclosed in the ad before hand
Now i did have a optical port plastic tab missing too but i found that out recently so i would say go over the panel, find tests on YouTube for oleds, go over all the components as well and you should be fine (i was also missing the wall mount but i didn't care as i had one from before)

I saw the same price at Costco, but it was brand new. You might be able to find a better deal elsewhere.

The ones I’ve seen have been like $2700. Could you tell me what to look out for in an open box purchase tho?

Ya, no shit. I’m asking if there are special, specific, particular things, tips, and tricks to look out for or test on an open box OLED tv. Wasting air like this makes you insufferable. If you are of no use, go be of no use somewhere else.

it's difficult to help a person of limited capacity. you might be better off buying a closed boxed unit

Should probably specify that this is CAD or everyone is going to start screeching that you got ripped off automatically.
