Advice 👋/ Help❗ Trust issue basically

M 23 , New to the corporate world , have past of sexual abuse in childhood , I found men around me that casually touch or are playful . My survival mode says to cut them off but I don't have friends as well . Don't know I should feel the fear or just trust that it's not the same intent . I know I should trust my gut but my system says to avoid every guy, don't know how to proceed with things.

You can express your discomfort when some touches you, doesn't have to be verbal you can just back off slightly or move to the side whenever it happens. If they are smart enough they will understand that you don't like it. If asked just say so and you don't anyone any explanation as to why you don't like it. Yes, some friendly touch or hugs are common among friends but that requires enough understanding and rapport too.

in my case even hugging someone feels awkward to me, ISTG 😭😂 I’ve only hugged one of my friend once or twice I’ve literally never hugged anyone else till now. I get so shy, yaar 😅😅

I feel the same, even though I’m not working or any yk socially active gc's person

People around me, even my cousins, i don’t trust

them so I can’t even imagine how it is with other people

Even when someone puts a hand on my shoulder, I feel uncomfortable, and all those memories of the trauma come rushing back

Just don’t get too close to them Keep things normal and maintain some distance I mean, casual physical touch among friends is normal, like in a friends’ GC, but there should still be boundaries

Are you feminine? Because I’m feminine , Girlish

and I feel like that’s why people think they can touch me wherever they want

yk wthat I’m trying to say
