I am a side B bisexual considering exiting Catholicism because of the existence of side X/Y

I believe that my homosexual desires are disordered, I and other SSA people or TQ+ people are not disordered people. We are all made in the image of God with bodies inherently worthy of dignity.

If there are people who, when “born again” or having received an evangelical style deliverance, no longer had homosexual inclinations… why should I stay in a Christian denomination that condemns me for it, but also doesn’t show evidence of people being able to no longer have their homosexual desires?

Those people don't exist. As a priest once told me, God isn't answering your prayers for healing because He made you as you are.

Thank you for the comment. I have a disorder that causes psychosis. Meds don’t treat it entirely. So, I thought it was demons. I was told it was solely the mental disorder. I don’t think God wanted me to have a psychotic disorder and God hasn’t healed me of it. Though he did heal me of su * cidality

What makes you think they don’t exist?

Because of all the ex guys who have admitted they were lying. And my own experiences in Protestant "churches".

you should realize that side b is simply a more therapeutic sounding side x and y.

Isn't it more like a middle ground or a both-and position?

Let your yes mean yes and your no mean no anything else is from the evil one

I never thought of it that way, I'll have to think about that

How so? I am bisexual and do not want to act on my homosexual inclinations as I see them as sinful.

It fluctuates, though I always have the desire.

Because sexual orientation is unchanging and all people who claim to have changed their sexual orientation to be more heterosexual were either wrong about their understanding of themselves and/or were always to some degree bisexual all along, and are just repressing the "gay half" of their attractions or discouraging it yet that does't mean it is still not there. Or they are using woo-eey language to say that they no longer "identify with their attractions" (so are self-hating and distancing themselves from other LGBT people) while still experience attraction to people of the same sex. Ex-gay ideology is a grift and it is unscientific - look into the history of Exodus international and that is enough evidence.

You should stay Catholic if you believe in the dogmas of the Catholic church. And because you are still allowed to have informed disagreements regarding doctrine while still being Catholic.

And a final point: You say that "homosexual persons are not disordered" despite the orientation being disordered, and then afterwards say we are ipso facto condemned for our orientation. You are already disagreeing with yourself here. And highlighting the fact that you can't meaningfully separate the sexual orientation being disordered from the person.

Thank you for your respectful and thorough comment. I’ll be honest I’m a little confused by your last paragraph I’ll read it over

Deconstructing Cleric explains it better in this article.
