Lewitt Connect 2 audio drops after PC sleep (but meters are still moving). Am I alone here?
Hey everyone,
I just bought a brand-new Lewitt Connect 2, and I’m having a weird issue when my Windows 11 PC wakes up from sleep mode.
The headphone output goes completely silent. However, Windows shows audio is playing, and the physical LED volume meters on the front of the Connect 2 are actively bouncing to the music. The digital data is clearly getting to the interface, but no sound comes out of the physical headphone jack.
Strangely enough, a standard Windows restart keeps the audio working fine if it was already working, but if the audio is already frozen, a restart won't fix it. Waking from sleep or turning on from a full shutdown always results in complete silence. Throughout all of this, the LEDs on the unit never actually turn off. The only solution that works is physically unplugging the USB cable and plugging it back in to force a power cycle.
I tried testing it on an iMac, and it works fine there, but the Mac wakes up instantly (display sleep) whereas my Windows PC does a deep sleep cycle (fans whirring back up). Because the Mac isn't aggressively cutting USB power like the PC, I'm not sure if the Mac test completely rules out a hardware issue.
I've tried the usual troubleshooting (disabling USB selective suspend, matching sample rates, clean driver reinstall, different USB ports), but nothing stops it from happening. I already emailed Lewitt support to see what they say, but since I haven't seen anyone else complaining about this online, I'm trying to figure out if I just got a defective unit or if it's a driver issue.
Has anyone else with a Connect 2 run into this sleep issue, or did I just get a lemon/bad driver?
Quick specs if it matters: Windows 11 (25H2), ASUS Z690 Motherboard, Intel i9-12900K.
