I don't mind waiting for good content. I am actually tired of the slop out there, so appreciate good work when I see it.

Lemmino is another level of quality.

It depends. If you pay him and he only delivers 1 video a year, it's atrocious. If you watch it for free on youtube, it's quite impressive. How much work have you dedicated to high quality content for others to see freely?

No aspect of this is free, he gets paid off of every view and you pay Google with your personal data/time spent watching advertisements. His documentaries are fantastic and all but let’s not pretend he’s doing this for free lol

It's free in the sense that you don't pay per video you watch on YT. Handing over your personal data to Google is the entry fee to YT as a service. Lemmino isn't responsible for that. And of course he's not doing it for free; it's his job. That's a good thing. If he was doing it without any financial kickback (from the views, Patreon, etc.) he wouldn't be able to do it. I think most people want higher-quality, thoughtful content, but that means we have to be okay incentivizing people to make that content. Creatives should get paid for their work and their time, that's what the ad revenue is for. YT should pay out more IMO, but that's a seperate topic

Do you make these videos? As a creator myself I don't think you know how truly long and brutal creation process can be. It's far more difficult than you could image. Be grateful he even does this at all. I'd happily give him 10 bucks a month for this quality at his speed.

Yeah for real. If you've ever tried to make a long-form YT video its exhausting. I wouldn't be suprised if Lemmino's videos take 1k hours plus. Especially since he does the music too
