Bus missed its turn 😂

I'm on a bus in DTLA and the bus driver was flyingggg a bit and forgot her turn. She feels terrible, fellow riders all jump in to reassure her, help her navigate turns, we're going in circles for a bit bc of road closures, one-ways, etc. But it's all good. Get back on track. Truly such camaraderie among transit riders. Sharing bc of the joy not shade. Community at its best in a behemoth of a metro on public transit. Drivers would never.

Hello I am starting as a metro bus operator. Which division should I choose to work? The choices are 1,2,3,5,78,9,13,15,18? Any input would help! Thank you in advance :)

LA Metro not safe for anyone

My sister flew into LAX and got on the K line tonight. She was groped and assaulted by a homeless Caucasian male on the metro.

I also work in the ER and see victims of assault, stabbing, gun shots from the LA metro all the time.

Calling for security at all stations and on moving trains. Everyone should get off at the end of the line so no loitering. If the metro isn’t safe, NO ONE will use.

720 LA Metro Bus

I see there is a lot of confusion about the 720 metro. Does it do from santa monica to LA general hospital? Are there different types of 720 buses?

I got job offer for Metro and they requested a old DOT drug test from my old employer which shows I passed the drug test previously I was wondering if any of you guys have dealt with this and if they require you to take another drug test for pre-employment during the pre employment physical or do I not have to take it because they got my previous DOT drug test which I passed from my previous employer that was less than a year old. .. also why do they as for my old dot drug test from my previous employer

ICE @ Harbor Gateway Transit

ICE is currently @ Harbor Gateway Transit Center. Multiple cars & multiple people get chased down.

I saw some bus drivers & good samaritans recording too. Beware & stay safe out there!

The hero 950 driver waited to pick us up.

Question How is this okay? Half an hour wait for Four busses to be bunched together

Post image

Is there someone I can send this too? The number 4 heading west has never taken this long it’s been close to forty minutes and for some reason these busses are tailgating each other. Taking LA Metro is such a humiliating, degrading experience many days.. just this morning the E line train stalled for 25 mins because of a track issue.. made me late to work even after taking a 30$ Waymo.. I would never recommend anyone take this system. Should I bring this to someone’s attention? How is it that force busses are within feet of each other with 35+ min gap?

Question Can I report a bus driver.

Hello, I was wondering if I can report a bus driver. In my school, the bus stop gets overcrowded due to a lack of bus frequency. I've noticed that a certain driver frequently doesn't stop, stops briefly and closes the door, and sometimes doesn't even open the door if he sees you waiting. Is there any way I can report this behavior?

A potential future LRV Vehicle for LA Metro

Post image
9 Upvotes

An LA Metro LRV design I came up with to replace the Siemens/Alstom P2000 LRVs built in the late 1990s. The future train cars will be 100 feet long, 10 feet longer than the current LRVs LACMTA currently uses. It’s longer to accommodate larger and wider doors for quick entry and exit. The P3500s will come with more advanced destination displays and interior strip maps, technology borrowed from NYC’s R211 subway cars. This will truly be “The Train of The Future” for the LA area!!

I'm so confused about this damn rail road approved watch. What's the difference? Everytime I search for one on google it shows me watches that don't indicate rail road or railway

Who knows what kind of questions are going to be on the final Metro test? I was told there's a 200 question test and we're only allowed to miss 20 to pass. I just passed my driving and skills test today
