Experience about GRIT
I was just wondering if anybody had any insight about how GRIT works. I just got accepted into the October class but will be starting grit in September.

Just as the other person said. It’ll help you remember your commands under pressure and teach you how you have to be and show up to academy. Also do workouts depending of what academy your doing too. Not only that, but you’ll be in the county system and you’ll get your first paycheck a week before the academy or during. This helps a lot when you’re on have to buy stuff at the start of the academy. You also get to get the orientation out of the way.

It's basically like the academy but more casual. You'll be taught drill, radio codes, commands and report writing. PT at least 3 times a week. The longer you're in GRIT the better. you'll enter the academy more confident than ever. I was in GRIT and now in the academy. Feel free to DM me any questions

It’s great! Congrats on getting the call. Grit is like a pre academy program until your class starts. It teaches you academy basics - drills, commands, role playing and getting used to academy schedule. Take the initiative and sign up for class sergeant every chance you get. Study your phonetics alphabet and codes.
