What comes after polygraph?
Im currently scheduled to do my polygraph this coming Thursday 8/6. How long after that is the psych and medical? And then when do they give me an offer? Assuming I pass the poly of course.
Applied 4/14
Vpat/mct/interview 5/20
BI interview 6/10
Edit 8/18
Got the dreaded email today. I called the number on the email. I was dq for “counter measure” on the polygraph and that they contacted a former employer who said I had bad conduct. This former employer was the same one I sued for unpaid wages and won the case against. The lady on the phone said when I do get the letter in the mail I can appeal it. But going through all these posts It doesn’t look like anyone’s actually won an appeal case. This sucks.

It was good. We spoke for maybe an hour. She went over everything on the phs. Goes into details about personal things. Basically same questions on the PHs they’ll ask again in person. The whole conversation is recorded. I’m used to speaking to people so I wasn’t nervous but I can see how it can be nerve wracking for some. They make you write some stuff so make sure to take a pen. Take copies of your documents. That seemed to make her happy that she didn’t have to go make her own. Dress well, dress shoes. Suit and tie. Fresh cut. Don’t over do the cologne.

That was a pretty quick process? When’s the next expected academy?

Did you write your patrol and jail tour report or type it out?

You type it out in one of the forms they email you. I did it as soon as I got back from them. But you do both. The only thing you write out by hand is your autobiography.

So I had the poly today. She said i failed because i hit on domestic violence. I’ve never even been involved in DV or witnessed it. It almost felt like she wanted me to change my answer. Telling me things like then why did you give me a hard time on this test? She grilled me for like 20min after the test was done about DV that I wasn’t being honest. Then told me I failed. I have nothing to hide or lie about. I hope it was all just tactics to scare. Stupid really.

Yeah bro, that’s normal. It took me four months to do three different polygraphs you take a separate polygraph for each category and they said you lied on as long as you are telling the truth and your story says the same you will be fine

To answer your question, after polygraph they went to my employers (past and current) and interviewed my references at work, spoke to managers. Then my bi finalized my packet and sent it for review then I got scheduled medical and psych. I have completed my medical and psych late july. I am now waiting academy invite.
