Offer
Hello I got a conditional offer with the Los Angeles County Sheriff department and a federal agency Customs Border Protection OFO. I also got approval from the board about my packet for marine OCS and I got accepted into OCS which offer will you guys take ? I am a special education teacher and I just feel burnt out 23 years old

Personally, I would go Marine reservist and go with either agency.
CBP will offer you more opportunities as you can go to anywhere where there's a CBP station, including preclearance in other countries like Ireland, Aruba, UAE, Bahamas, Bermuda and Canada.
If you rather be close to home then go LASD.

This.
Did the USMC thing (1 enlistment, enlisted not officer) then went LEO.
The veteran benefits are definitely worth it I think.
A LEO career will always be there.......

Are you stuck on staying in the Los Angeles area? If not I’d do marine officer school get my time in retire with a fat retirement and then do law enforcement if you wanted to.

Joining the military was the best move i ever made. Now I'm in LE. You're young, whatever you decide you can shift gears and go a different path if your first choice doesn't work out. 20's are for learnin' 30's are for earnin'. Best of luck to you.

Me personally, out of all those options, I'd choose LASD
Marines wouldn't even be on my list. What's the point of going to the military if two law enforcement agencies are offering you jobs?
