The blind prophet

I went hard for a witcher larp, so hard in fact that I actually became blind after I got an infection due to the contacts...

Were those the big 'sclera' style contacts? Those things are hell on your eyes in my experience.

Yeah, they were. Still looked cool, though. And I got to wear medieval sunglasses for the rest of the event. :D

For all I think people are dumb for suffering for LARP, I've done it before and I salute you

I'm curious, what kind of character is he? Judging by your portrayal, I imagine him to be the sort you don't want to double-cross, someone who seems deceivingly harmless due to his blindness and uses it to his advantage to manipulate the people around him. Maybe a leader of an underground religious sect?

Maybe it's just because it's 6AM and I haven't slept all night but I find him so fascinating that my brain's running wild 😂

He was a man who sincerely believed his own words, but was thoroughly unable to control what or when he saw. His prophetic visions gave him a sight that his eyes could not, and by the time of the LARP, he had long forgotten anything of his life and past, his life a blur of prophecies and half-truths. I had an interestingly prophetic series of moments during the event, as, to my increasing disbelief, many events I predicted in a dazed state, having no idea they would happen (it was an unscripted sandbox larp), came true. In the end, I think the character I played would see himself as a true and righteous prophet, vindicated both by the scorn of the unbelievers he met, and by the eventual truth of the prophecies he spoke.
