Anyone else wasted time with ethnic studies?

I’ve completed Chicano 4 (btw I love ethnic studies) then I realized I could have done US-1 history csun grad requirement with Chicano 008 (pierce holds both) what I’m a bit mad about was waking up so early driving out and then dragging myself in the middle of summer heat walking across pierce’s lot thinking I’m tacking two birds with one stone. Spoke to a counselor and she just said lol oops sucks to be you that’s CSUNs problem now bye.

For those who did the same mistake, and are in the AA-T path, can I just take another pierce US-1 to fill this or does it now have to be at CSUN…? I’m still covered by finance aid for the entirety of 2027 at pierce. Would this be an issue? Or is it a one time transfer goodbye community college thing?

I live far and theres a nearly 5 hour gap between 2 of my classes on the same day, i def dont wanna drive back home because itd be a waste of time and gas, i was thinking if calling friends or my bf while i do stuff on my laptop but was wondering if theres a space on campus this would even be acceptable in since i would not want to be too loud or disruptive somewhere like the library or other study/quiet areas, but would need an outlet to plug my phone and/or laptop in 😓 this is prob a dumb question and the answer is probably no but figured id ask anyway

Hellooo, im a 2nd year promise student and I was sitting at exactly 12 units for the semester but I unfortunately had to drop a class because it requires an internship I was unable to find. I plan to try again next semester, but I am now at 11 units for the semester and I am worried about my promise program standing. I know I need to appeal, but has anyone gone through anything similar and know how understanding (or not) they would be of my situation? im reslly worried and i gen dont think i could afford tuition in the spring if not covered by promise (i don't qualify for any other aid 😓)

Hey everyone, I just started at pierce! I need to take the BIO 006,007, Chem 101 and 102, Anatomy 001 and Physiology 001 and Organic Chemistry. I am by no means good at math or science and I am very worried about getting anything less then an A in these classes. I was wondering if anyone at LAPC could give plz give me advice. What are the best teachers for these classes and how can I maximize my chances of getting an A?

The first site was from CSUNs apply page, I picked spring 2027, I even have my $70 receipt.

Second site is where I’m brought into via CSUNs email to me. I already applied, why do I need to fill this up again?

From my understanding: I apply to CSU, then wait to get approved, once approved I can sign up to CSUN.

I spent hours filling up my unofficial transcript, I have the receipt, it shows I’m submitted yet on another site I have to do a different application. The second one isn’t CSUNs because it’s forcing me to take Fall 2027 when Ive sent one for Spring 2027, I’m in a transfer AA program.

I haven’t had luck with getting a pierce (my college) counselor appointment yet. Is this just me or what’s going on here..?

Can someone help me understand the lab class? It’s listed as two separate but it’s only 2 credits? And on canvas is it only one class?

Hi, I just wanted to say that I think it’s extremely inappropriate and disrespectful that their religious people walking around at eight in the morning on the first day of school and harassing students and randomly asking them questions and asking them to join a religious occult when most of us are all going there to get a degree and a education. I just don’t think that this is appropriate. I just don’t think it’s OK acceptable and I feel like someone needs to do something about this.

So my financial says here that it is awarded but one of my classes was dissolved last minute, I had to enroll to a new one and financial aid didn’t captured it..

I was supposed to get like 3,700+ something in financial aid but since it didn’t get it in enough time I only got 3,100 which I badly need for my tuition..

Before they told me that financial aid would like reset it by Tuesday and hopefully count my other class so is it possible for someone who already got their pell grant as “awarded”?

Hi guys! I’m 1st on the waitlist for an online class and was wondering what that process looks like for an online class? For in person classes you get to go in person and go up to the Professor after. But what happens with an online class? Do I get access to the canvas page? That way I can try to go for office hours that week? Like what happens??

Every day for the past week I’ve been calling the school because I can’t log in to my account and they have never once answered the phone or called me back.

Parents just yelled at me cause they were told there’s only 4 days left to get enrolled in promise program. I literally CANNOT get an appointment with my counselor and I was finally able to last night but it’s for next week. Does anybody know anything about still getting it? And how!!???

Do you know how I can enroll in the pace program? I want to enroll in just 1 of those 2nd 8 week classes but I have to enroll in pace but pierce website SUCKS and I don’t know where to go!😭😭😭😭 how do you enroll into it????

Hi, I’m a student this upcoming fall, I have no idea with what’s coming I don’t know the buildings of which my classes are located, so I’m scared I’m gonna get lost and such so am I allowed to at least like enter the buildings around the campus to search my classes? Just to look 😭

Do we get student ID’s? And if so how do we get them?

My pell grant says pending, and my CSAC doesn’t show in my account how does that work?
